One of the biggest gyms around, spa pools, sauna, steam room and girly gym. Downstairs is reception and bar that serves food. 🏋️🏊🍽️

I have been a member at this gym since it first opened, paying the premium rates that they charge for a 'better class of gym'. I've put up with the disgusting toilet and shower facilities that they've had, in lieu of decent kit to train with. The urinal that was fitted for years was a stainless steel trough that you could feel your pee, and other people's, splashing onto your legs. The other toilets were never cleaned properly either, with a constant stench of stale drains all around. In 2016 (over 9 months ago!) they started to finally revamp the facilities. In the meantime, the only toilet for the gents was a small area off reception that was rarely cleaned again with stale piss splashed on the floor and walls. The sinks were no better. They obviously rely on the junior instructors to clean them, not dedicated cleaning staff who would do it properly. The new showers were eventually fitted, but no screens to separate everyone, so you are literally 3 feet away from another bloke washing the crack of his arse and behind his foreskin. Acceptable for a local football team maybe, but not for a £40 a month gym! The 'building site' has a maximum of 3 men working at one time, clearly being done on the cheap. Whole buildings have been built quicker than this work. Difficult drain replacement being sited as causing the lengthy work timescale. There has been no discount given to members during the months of the work and sub-standard facilties just sheets of apologies pinned to the walls. Therefore I have now cancelled my membership. The toilet and shower facilities may get finished.......eventually, but I strongly suspect that cleaning and hygiene will remain as they always have been.........disgusting.
