Lovely place, you can hear Rd noise but that was not a big issue we stayed probably furthest point away. Spotless toilets until dirty people use them. Dog walk on site however very short there is room for improvement as there is a small wooded area that could have a path at a lower level to the current path creating a nice loop walk. It's not a complaint just a constructive idea. Durham only 7mins away, Seaham is also nice too. We would stop again

This is a beautiful site with a playground for young children. The site staff are friendly and helpful. There are clean facilities such as toilets and showers. Everything is kept up to a excellent standard and is lovely to stay on. I highly recommend it.

A good site for visiting Durham. We walked in a pleasant 3 mile walk along the river and we caught the bus back. You need to be a bit nimble crossing the local main roads to get to bus stop. Obviously site can be a bit noisy as next to major roads. To go further afield you would need transport as not much locally. So people with motorhomes like us that don't take them out once on sight be aware of that. Not ideal for cycling unless you are confident on busy roads. A nice and clean and well looked after campsite with good children's play area.

Lovely site, very clean and tidy. Very helpful and friendly. If you mention you are disabled when booking, they will try their best to get you close to amenities 😁
