Recently stayed at Strawberry Hill from 23rd March 18 to 1st April 18. Adam and Louise only took over the property in August 2017 and are working hard to make it one of the best in the North. Adam and Louise are genuinely friendly and so helpful.
They have recently opened a small cafe/bistro and it was doing a roaring trade because of the competitive prices, plus excellent home made cakes.
The toilets/shower block are immaculately clean with lots of hot water, with regular checks to maintain the high standard. Adam is always busy on the site. I would just like to say thank you to you both for a great week and for being so welcoming. Apologies for not saying bye but we left early to beat traffic. We will definitely see you again for another stay. (You are way ahead of your 5 year plan) Good luck for the future.

We had 3 nights in the Granada, it was clean and spacious with all that is needed to enjoy a great location to explore the area. Well run and managed by Adam and Louise. Thanks for a great stay guy's.

Incredibly friendly helpful owners.
Freezing shower block but would be fine in summer, one good shower and one poor one in the ladies. All very neat and clean, but pricey for off season at £20 per night
Next to a fast noisy dual carriageway. I wouldn't recommend taking the bus into Durham. The bus stop is quite a distance away and It's scary waiting for a bus at the side of that busy fast road. It's like standing on the side of a motorway.
We tried to get a taxi but couldn't find one available
OK if you're used to traffic noise and have transport.
