Lovely stately home but house not open to to the public. Some of the grounds are open without charge. The gardens are worth paying for but the views from the terrace are now blocked by the trees so what was designed to give a wide view overlooking Helmsley and its castle is now an avenue of trees. Would highly recommend the steam rally every July.

Set near a beautiful Yorkshire village, I've visited twice before and will be returning again as it really is a lovely place.

Go here every June for the annual Farmyard party bike rally hosted by MAG. Brilliant rally on a fantastic site. I look forward to many more good times in the years to come!
