My husband, daughter n I have returned home today having spent a wonderful week's holiday staying in a 2 bed static caravan at the Black Bull site. The caravan was v.well equipped, clean, tidy and modern. The site overall was v.well maintained with a small shop providing essential supplies. The staff were friendly and helpful. The site had the added bonus of an excellent pub adjacent to the site serving great food. The site was very well placed for many attractions in the area and very reasonably priced for the time of year (August) We would not hesitate in recommending this site and hope to return again in the future. Thank you.

Always a great meal at a sensible price 😊 gets very busy during the summer months and there is a wonderful open fire in the winter

Clean and tidy, friendly hosts, pitches are a little tight to get in. Need to keep off the grass after rain

Excellent campsite, they have good showers, a games room and a basic but useful camp shop. The pitches are spacious and level, some hardstanding.

We stayed at the Black Bull for 8 nights in August 2017. There were 6 families and we booked at the site as we have stayed before and loved it. The park was well located to the caravan and the site itself was well run clean and tidy. This time 3 families arrived 1 day before us and 2 other families. As we paid we were told by BOTH owners husband/wife in an extremely rude manner we MUST be quiet at 11pm as a warning had already been giving to our family whom arrived the night before. The husband even interrupted his phone call to put his aggression across. That night we had our first warning for talking in our awnings as a group. So the following night myself and my partner decided to sit in are own awning whilst the kids were in bed in the caravan and talk. The owner (hudband) was knocking on our awning at 11.20pm for TALKING to each other. We were shocked and disgusted. Are kids were asleep we were doing NO harm to anyone and yet we still got a warning. Throughout our following nights we received a few more warnings. But the owners NEVER spoke to us direct during the day. Infact spoke nice to us if they saw us around the site. But we were informed by other campers that we would be dealt with and kicked off the site. When we booked it was a group booking and on the terms and conditions it was QUIET BY 11PM not DON'T TALK. It ruined our FAMILY holiday. We will NOT be returning to this site....
