Nice place to see.. Beautiful gardens, very friendly staff!

Arrived 1.30pm on a Wednesday in July, nobody else there, car park empty. An attractive medium sized garden and woodland. Took us about one and a half hours to explore. Gardens are well looked after. Three cars in the car park when we left.

We had a tour of the house which was intetesting and amusing. The gardens were a delight. I would definitely recommend this stately home. Also I found it very reasonably priced. Opening for more than one month a year should enable more people to enjoy the house and garden. The photo of the house on the website does not represent the beauty of the garden.

beautiful gardens and lovely tea room with Delicious cake and tea in china tea pots and cups. there are nearby pubs serving very good food. a great day out. check the times before hand as tours of the house are only at set times.
