I missed my appointment today by 15 minutes, which I admit was my own fault as I was convinced that it was at the time I arrived. However, being told that I was "very late" and that the doctor would "no longer see me" and I would have to "make another appointment" after I waited over a week for this one, was not the best response. However, every time I have been to this surgery, including today, the staff are so rude and unfriendly it makes me feel so unwelcome. I felt really undermined when I walked in and very obviously expressed that I did not realise I was late. I literally needed to speak to a doctor for no longer than 5 minutes to get a prescription, however I was unable do this as they refused to let me see anyone. I now have to book another appointment, however I have moved here for University and am going home now until January, where I am no longer registered. My advice would be to look at visiting a different doctors surgery as I am really fed up of how rude the staff are each time I have visited. They also 'told me off' for not signing in using the system before, when I explained it would not let me which is why I needed them to check me in. Apparently this was clearly an inconvenience to them and they made that very apparent.

One of the admin staff is extremely rude to almost anyone and everyone. Some training is required as patients who are ill need love and compassion. Calling on the dot 9am you can never get through (I've personally called them more than 50 times continuously from 9am till when they pick up only to be told I'm "late", very frustrating when you are ill and at work and need an appointment asap). On a more positive note, they will usually see babies under 6 months of age within the same or next day if you explain your baby is extremely ill and let them know you are very concerned. Overall GPs are quite good but one of them misdiagnosed me (giving me steroids to apply topically all over my body whilst pregnant - my OBGYN & midwife were shocked). The nurse is a little harsh, especially with newborns, although she is nice otherwise. I've seen much much better GP centres and even something as little as training some of the admin staff to be kinder would go a very long way. There also needs to be a system of penalising people who don’t attend appointments without any good reason so that other people who need appointments aren’t made to wait for no reason.

Helpful staff with the neccessary discipline to deal with patients. They are covering a wide area locally which can result in being exceptionally busy. Please be patient in order to be seen.

Avoid D F Alam. The fat bastard is very rude and condersending. He doesnt allow you to explain and spends the time arguing rather then doing his job.
