The Redbridge Surgery over September and October 2022 has had a noticeable improvement with the level of professionalism demonstrated by the Reception and admin team coupled with the high quality GP service. The e-Consult system has helped process requests more quickly and every time I have needed a request fulfilled, they have been super efficient in processing. I’d like to see the Surgery service to continue to improve.
If I could give minus stars i would a shambles of a surgery. Takes six to eight weeks to register apparently what takes so long to register ? What's this so called lengthy process involved you get patient details transfer files over from old gp that's it. Must be a lazy bunch in there for sure
Not surprised that this place has such a low rating. If I could give them a zero, I would. Whilst the actual GP’s in the place are extremely nice and helpful, the rude and useless receptionists bring the whole place down. Phone lines hardly ever open at 8am, and when they do, they never pick up! On multiple occasions I have been number one in the queue and yet had to wait 30+ minutes. They seem to never have appointments available despite calling them first thing in the morning. The mannerism of the receptionists is absolutely appalling and I don’t know who on earth would give them such a role. They lack people skills. They show no sympathy whatsoever. It hurts me to think how the elderly and our parents, who are unable to speak fluent English, are being disregarded by these people. A formal complaint needs to be made against these people.
The reception team is not good at all. Ill- mannered staff. They need to really train the staff to do the job. If this behaviour continues then I will be writing a formal complaint.
Having been part of this GP for over 20 years I can not believe how badly the services and care has declined within this year alone. It’s almost impossible to get an appointment and when you manage to get one the Dr contacts you beyond the agreed time. I’m not sure if it’s due to the demand or cuts that have occurred but this needs to be addressed. You can not keep people waiting hours on end it’s beyond unacceptable.
I had an appointment at 12:10 and now is 12:48 I didn’t get any call yet. So I try to call the gp and Is been 28 minutes tgat I am in call no one is answering and it says that I am number 2 in call but no one is answering. I would give zero star . They should improve their service
You will have a higher probability of being seen by a doctor in Ukraine than this place. This place is hit and miss. The doctors are generally good. However, the place is mismanaged to the extent that the call lines are rarely open at the advertised time of 8am. Today, I was first in the queue and waited 10 minutes for someone to answer, so ended up hanging up thinking there must have been a fault. Rang back back, and guess what! Ended up being 12th in the queue, waiting for over 28 minutes for someone to answer. Also, one of the doctors mentioned that they had left a voicemail for me when only the receptionist did asking that I call again to make an appointment, which to my understanding was to physically see a doctor. But making an appointment again means that the doctor will telephone you and then assess whether one needs to be seen. Also, if they know that I need to make an appointment, why should I be asked to call the following day at 8am instead of the surgery calling me directly to offer the appointment? There appears to be lack of communication between the doctors, office manager and secretaries. Whoever is in charge of the appointments system needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and actually think whether they are making people's lives happier because of the stupid appointments system. I will never ever get back the lost 30 minutes of my life because I have to make an appointment...even though I know that the doctor had wanted me to come in to see them. Update: 17 March 2022. Phoned to make an appointment and told that none available because all the doctors were out at meetings. Then told to call either 111 or wait until 2pm until the out of hours surgery opens. At this rate, I am pretty sure that I will have a higher chance of being seen by a doctor in Ukraine than this place. Secretary hung up on me whilst pretending she could not hear me.
WORST GP SURGERY!!! This practice has a culture of not being open and honest to patients, every single interaction with surgery staff feels like a battle and is energy draining. Instead of being honest about expectations of waiting times and referrals, they give patients false hope, and when caught, they revert to lying to cover their backs. The reception staff are incompetent, raised a formal complaint about one of the GP's to the practice manager who did absolutely nothing about it. GP sent me for bloods without the link to book and when later questioned, started lying that they had sent the link. I would never recommend this practice to anyone!
The NHS Complaints team need to have a serious look into the practice of this GP, it is beyond appalling and pathetic. Extremely difficult to get through to on the phone, even if you start calling bang on 8am you are told there are no appointments left, and forget about even calling on Thursday, despite providing a trash service, the doctors feel entitled to then have a half day and tell patients to call the hub service instead, despite the fact they can barely attend calls and give appointments. Not only that the stupid automated message on the phone says if you do not want to wait fill an econsult form on the surgery website, when they dont even have that service up and running..... When you do get to see them, dont think they will do the right thing, no they cant even get a blood test right, and will screen for EVERYTHING BUT WHAT YOU ASKED THEM TO CHECK!!! You can assume for months everything is okay because they tell you everything is fine but fail to say they did not check the one thing that was required. One star is generous, worst practice i have come across. Appalling service to patients who require their GP especially in such testing times.
I went to the surgery today and they had social distancing measures in place, all of the staff were wearing masks and numbers were clearly being limited in the waiting room. The nurse today, Cheryl? was absolutely fantastic. Her bedside manner and attention to comfort was second to none. Every time I've seen Dr Kazi and her colleagues it's been helpful and reassuring. Phone lines can be busy but it's important to remember the sheer numbers of people this surgery is now serving. They work hard, they do a good job and sometimes I think the general public don't appreciate a service which is free at the point of delivery.
