My fella and I have just visited Dovestone for the weekend for the first time, and it most certainly won't be our last. We stayed in one of the "Pods".... how beautiful it was too... extremely clean, very spacious, and wonderfully comfortable. We had already planned a "do nothing" weekend so we brought a small tv/dvd player which allowed us to do exactly nothing lol... i had packed all the food and essentials we would need so we didnt need to go out... what an absolutely lovely lazy weekend we had... on arrival we went into the office to check in, where i was greeted by two extremely helpful, polite, lovely ladies, we were shown to our Pod (no 20) which had the most amazing view of the lake and the surrounding hills. I would definitely recommend booking a "lakeside pod". The heating was already on for us so it was toasty warm when got inside, and there was a complimentary box of chocolates waiting for us too. All in all the weekend was amazing, the weather wasnt too kind, but it was February, but that didn't bother us in the slightest as we were inside all day and night, in fact when is was time to leave on the Sunday morning, my fella begged me not to have to leave as it was so chilled and relaxing, he's never done that before haha. After we checked out we decided to go for a walk around the resovoir, it took us quite a while as we're not your typical walkers, and the footpath bridge halfway was being worked on, so we had no choice but to walk the whole way round, a tad tired at the end but definitely worth it. So YES i wouldn't undoubtedly recommended Dovestone to anyone and everyone. Thank you to all for making our stay here so welcoming, and we shall be returning.

Finding the site long winded having to constantly put dates in rather than the site showing what is booked already. I think this would make it much easier being able to see at a glance. Looking forward to booking soon

Spoke to reception about making a date, confirmed date yet she got confused later over email on price, then the date, then later said dates taken after we had been emailing get back and too... Completely messed us all around and the whole family use them! Great place, shame about the service... offered 10% discount doesn't make up for planning a whole holiday again!
