Excellent site, Ian and Jane made me feel so welcome there, they are lovely people. Highly recommended as it's close enough to Manchester but with the advantage of being in a rural setting. There's a nice village called Culcheth nearby as well with plenty of take aways, shops and pubs.
Both campers and tents welcome. Showers, toilets, and water on site. And a few lovely pubs not too far away. Lovely get away for some piece and quiet : oooo and some blackberries too Playground: No playground. A bit more of a adult/ counrty lover camping style :
Lovely hideaway, Jane and Ian are so friendly and made us feel very welcome even though we were a late arrival and only stopped for one night. We'd definitely return, couple of pubs not far away, what's not to love!!
Wonderful! We happened across this place by chance and will definitely be back. The owners are lush and the atmosphere is great fun. We loved it!
Ian and Jayne made us feel very welcome. Definitely going to make this a regular site. Plenty to do in the area. Good value. Great to hear that it's open all year! not a working farm, more of a base. A few friendly chickens roaming and Ian on his tractor . You will hear traffic noise from the country Lane
Just had the best week here with our rugby lads, owners was lovely and friendly and made us all feel so welcome, the kids had a brilliant time as to did the adults, can't wait to come back Thanks Ian and Jane xx
I stayed here just one night. I loved it. I was immediately made to feel welcome by other residents and even given a lift into town by a lovely resident who refused to take any money. It was an absolute delight to be there and I felt humbled by the generosity and kindness. The site is quiet and clean. No mud and a completely flat field. Toilets were clean and security gave a feel of total safety. This campsite for me was a great experience and I’d go back in a heartbeat
Fantastic weekend at Laylands farm, site was spotless and clean and the oweners very helpful in directing us to a local beauty spot for a walk. Highly recommended visiting this site. Cant wait to go back in near future.
Stayed here as it is handy for Haydock Racecourse. Owner's where very helpful and friendly. Site was very clean and well kept. Lovely welcome.
Chose this site on the strength of the reviews on Google and it's proximity to an attraction we wanted to visit on Monday. We arrived early Friday evening after an 8 hour drive, the owner was very welcoming and helpful and showed us a nice large pitch. However we did not check out the facilities before we pitched, probably because we were shattered after a nightmare journey. Big mistake. I won't go into too much detail about how bad the toilets / showers are - and the showers were £1 coin operated!!! They have been substandard for very many years. I can only imagine that the good reviews are from people with their own facilities who never went anywhere near the toilet block. We had planned to stay 4 nights but left the next morning after spending a whole morning driving round and telephoning several other sites in the locality. After I asked for, and was given, a refund the owner apologised and said there is a new ablution block being constructed. Apparently it should be ready 'next month'
