This was a very pleasant experience. Hotel was comfortable, well appointed, and the staff was excellent. We ate at their restaurant and had good service and delicious food. It is centrally located and cross from Manchester Piccadilly, so convenient. The bar was outstanding. Good selection of cocktails and incredible staff. Charlie was our barkeeper 2 nights and made great drinks, conversation, had high levels of knowledge of the spirits, and gave us recommendations on our local adventure. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again. Rooms: Clean and comfortable. Appointed with amenities consistent with higher level hotels. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was spacious and comfortable, air conditioning worked well! Safety: We were there during the unrest in Piccadilly Garden and never felt threatened or concerned at our hotel. They did a super job! Food & drinks: Bar and restaurant are well run with good food and drink. Breakfast is incredible and the cocktails at the bar are very good.
Location is excellent, breakfast was nice, and service was also quite good. DoubleTree by Hilton exceeded my expectations on my first visit to Manchester. Inzamam from the front desk was also very kind to accommodate my request of early check-in as a Hilton Honours Gold member. I would highly recommend this hotel for any visit to Manchester - whether that’s for business or leisure. The rooms were clean and well kept. I believe you are getting excellent value for money.
Haven't stayed in the hotel but feel I must post a review of the restaurant. Met a friend there for lunch and stayed over 3 hours. Tasty food, care to ask about allergies and inform the chef, relaxed atmosphere, reasonable prices and every one of the 4 or 5 staff we came into contact with were so pleasant and welcoming and charming. We have been meeting in Manchester most years but this will certainly be our destination now. Thank you to all concerned.
This is our second time to stay in this hotel. The location is good and our room is very clean and tidy. We especially thank the front desk team which is very sincere and efficient. Winnie who was on duty on the 1st - 2nd of June had done great in helping us to locate the places which we wanted to visit and answered all our questions in details. The best way to encourage staff is to let them know they are being appreciated. Please convey our thanks to them! Rooms: Clean and tidy
The service was amazing, especially Charlotte at the help desk, she was very friendly. The room was nice and clean, however the pillows were not the best. Location is top class, so close to the train station and shops near by.Rooms: 4/5
Fantastic location central for everything in Manchester. 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Train Station. Rooms very comfortable with massive beds!! Great food and drink choices in the bar and restaurant. Excellent breakfast and nice easy midday check out, so there's no rush in the morning! Definitely would recommend!!Rooms: 5/5
We stayed for 1 night after a visit to the Co-op arena , it was perfect for the train station and the tram to the arena. The hotel is as expected, clean and well run. The food in the restaurant was very good. The breakfast was a great way to start the day.Rooms: 5/5
I stayed at this hotel a few months ago for a concert. Great location as only a few minutes from the train station. Good facilities and nice food. There was no bath I prefer a bath over a shower any day but I knew beforehand there wouldn't be a bath.Rooms: 4/5
Booked in for 1 night for an event. Travelled to Manchester by train and this was very conveniently placed just a short walk away. Room was clean, very comfortable and quiet we were on the 5th floor so that might be a factor. We ate dinner at the hotel as time was a factor ,the food was quite slow to arrive, but when it did it was excellent and surpassed our expectations Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and there was only a very short wait to be seated. Would definitely stay again if we were in Manchester.
I only stayed here one night for a work trip but couldn't not fault the hotel, front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, check in process was very quick, all rooms and halls were clean and spacious, room itself was on the 6th floor and was very big with a big smart TV and all amenities, nice view over the city below. Breakfast was good too nice atmosphere and plenty of options would stay here again!
