The Marriot Manchester Hotel Piccadilly is the perfect location provided for everyone! The new fresh design on the outside and inside of the hotel is eye catching and would recommend to friends and family. The staff are so welcoming and super friendly every time I visit! The new spa is a touch from heaven and the spa therapists made all the effort to make my treatment extra special. I’ve stayed here on various occasions: business trips, family getaways and even sometimes solo for a convenient stay while travelling to Manchester airport. Location is central and is also situated close to Piccadilly station but not close enough to have the disturbance of the trains.
Brilliant hotel and overall a fantastic experience. We attended with 2 kids for the batman experience just a 2 minute walk away and was greeted with lovely polite staff upon check in and checked in early with no fuss. Our room was on 4th floor and was superb. Freshly painted, clean and spacious. The hotel is going through renovations with scaffolding but this didn't interfere with our experience. Upon check-in the TV didn't work however after notifying reception a engineer was at our room within 10 minutes and sorted the problem so no issues at all. Beds were lovely, soft and snuggly. Never had a hotel shower with complimentary condition before, only shampoo and gel however this was a lovely extra touch that I appreciated. Breakfast was one of the best I've been to. My two little ones tucked into a great selection of veggie options and fresh fruit juices. Lovely selection and again serving staff was the politest ever, interested in our day and what we had planned next. For us a great hotel is always how hospitable the staff are, how clean the room is, how comfy the bed was and the breakfast the next day. This was 5star all around, very very pleasant visit and will be back again or alternative marriot without hesitation. Thank you!!
It's very close to Manchester Piccadilly station - about 3 minutes south of the station. There's a decent bar on-site. Breakfast is reasonable probably not worthy of a 4* hotel. Rooms are a decent size, with many having king sized beds at least ours did. It's convenient and close to the city centre, without the melee of Piccadilly Gardens. There's a decent sized gym on site, with a spa as well, though apparently it gets booked quickly.
There were a number of issues during this visit. Each was dealt with competently but I would rather they had not arisen. A recent acquisition, the hotel is undergoing refurbishment. This was relatively unintrusive but did give rise to problems. Originally in #801, we discovered that 50% of the electrics were not working. This required work and we were moved to #818. The living area of the suite had disproportionately few sockets. The inside of one cupboard was unfinished. The second toilet had no spare toilet roll nor was soap provided at the hand basin. Soap had not been provided in #801 either leaving one to enter the shower or lean over the bath. We were out for several hours on two days but housekeeping had not made it round by the time we returned. The car park was not signed with current branding; this led us to pay for nearby parking during check in. In the hotel, clumsily laid out as a relic of its former use, toilets and restaurant are awkwardly located. The M lounge is not adequately signed and, around the property, safety signs are propped up rather than affixed. The lift on floor 1 has only down buttons no up. The restaurant served a good dinner but breakfast saw two toasters both of which toasted on one side only - one knob removed. Our toast was cooked for us but the 'waiting for parts' does not really cut it. There was no notice at the toasters to advise users. The hotel location is good for access to transport and city centre. We would stay again when it is fully operational.
As a regular and loyal Marriott guest with elite status, I’ve come to expect a certain level of service, but the Manchester Marriott Piccadilly team truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a warmth that made me feel immediately at home. The attention to detail at this property is remarkable. The interiors are not only new, fresh, and sophisticated, but they also exude a calming ambiance with their warm pastel tones. It’s a modern elegance that feels both luxurious and inviting. I stayed in Room 602, and it was an absolute delight. The room was spacious, bright, and impeccably clean, offering ample space to relax and unwind. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and the amenities provided were top-notch. The large windows allowed natural light to flood the room, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the M Lounge. It’s a beautifully designed space where you can enjoy a variety of delicious snacks and drinks throughout the day. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed, making it an ideal spot to catch up on some work or simply unwind. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Emily, the Guest Relations Manager, along with her team, provided a level of hospitality that was second to none. Their courteous and professional demeanour made every interaction a pleasure, and they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect in every way. The Manchester Marriott Piccadilly has set a new standard for me, and I can confidently say that this is now my go-to hotel whenever I’m in Manchester. The combination of beautiful interiors, comfortable rooms, and outstanding service makes it a true gem in the heart of the city. I eagerly look forward to my next stay and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
We stayed here for one night while driving through the UK from Australia. The room we had was apparently only one week old since being renovated and it was absolutely incredible. The service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We wished we were able to stay here longer and can’t recommend it enough! Thank you so much Marriot we absolutely loved our stay :
The room was lovely. The staff at reception were amazing. The bar staff were of quite varying levels of competence and service. The food was of excellent quality. Though disappointing that room service wasn't available. Also, the complimentary water was not replenished for my second night which seemed a bit tight. Overall though, very good and would definitely stay again. Special thanks to Luka on reception who was great. Rooms: Clean and well presented room. Walkability: Only 5 mins walk from Manchester Piccadilly. Food & drinks: A little overpriced but a good selection and excellent quality. Good to see vegan options but more vegan options would be better, e.g a vegan sandwich, soup and salad. But there was at least a vegan curry and a vegan dessert that wasn't boring ice-cream/fruit as sometimes can be the case! Friends said some real ale and Guinness would improve the beer selection. Generally happy with the food and drinks though.
Me and my partner stayed at this hotel throughout our time in Manchester. I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the interior design of the building was. The room similarly was fabulous. Very spacious and clean. The lady on the front desk was amazing equally, and explained everything to my partner and I very thoroughly with a big smile. Made us feel like nothing was too much to ask. This hotel was also within perfect walking distance to the train station which made our arrival very comfortable. Thank you Manchester Marriot for the fabulous stay, and will most definitely return!
I spent two full work days here for work in the meeting rooms. I didn't stay overnight in any of the rooms so i can't comment on that. PROS: Extremely professional and friendly staff all throughout the building. The lunch in restaurant was always delicious with good variety. Meeting rooms well equipped with everything you need. CONS: Extortionate parking cost, but to be expected considering the area.
Went here from London for my sons birthday gave top money. Fund broken glass in room and all over the beds made my kids sleep in beds with broken glass smashed also bathroom sick of dirty water. Would rate a ymca or hostel much better rude staff Rooms: Terrible
