Bang in the middle of Manchester City, very good for buses and transport. Staff in the hotel were very nice, good service. Rooms were very old fashioned, only two plug points, beds were very hard to sleep on. The noise at night was unbearable - as it's right in the middle of the city there is constantly music, shouting, and so much noise. The windows are only single glazed so it was difficult to shut out the noise. The rooms were extremely hot also so needed the windows open to cool the room down. Wouldn't recommend due to the noise levels.
Room was quite dated and has no fan. It only had two plugs and.nothing by the bedside. Perfect location to get into Manchester for pretty much everything no taxi needed. Stated it has a bar open day night and evening however it closed around 5pmRooms: 3/5
I only stayed for a night and didn't have breakfast, so my review is just of the room and service at the desk. The staff were really friendly, prompt, and helpful. Checking in and out was quick and painless. The room was maybe a bit tired, but otherwise perfectly serviceable. The location is great for Piccadilly station and the city centre. My room overlooked an inner courtyard, if the nearby pubs etc were noisy I definitely didn't hear anything.
Wasn’t sure what to expect with this hotel but location was great. Room was clean and good value for money. Staff were friendly. Free Prosecco and chocolates. Breakfast was really nice. Parking nearby on Dale St wasn’t expensive which was good too.Rooms: 4/5
Great location but that's where my compliments end. The rooms are very warm and extremely dry. The window had a wood block screwed into the window sill to stop it being opened more than an inch. Shower is very hard to get to a usable temperature, either freezing cold or the burning depths of hell. Hotel is very dated and too pricey for what you get.
Joan Burton Stayed 25-27 May 2024 Stay here every year for the Great Manchester Run weekend with sisters. Always enjoyed our stay - always enjoy our breakfast. Reception staff very friendly helpful and approachable. Jay, who does breakfast is very efficient, always polite, professional, and a credit to the hotel. He is very knowledgeable of the local area for guests who have never stayed in Manchester before . Walkability: Everything within walking distance Food & drinks: Always a delicious breakfast every time we stay
The only thing good about this place was the location. I’ve never been assaulted by so many smells in one building before. The rooms were not clean at all. You can see in the photo one of the cushions had a handprint on it - I don’t even want to know how that happened! The walls were dirty too. And don’t get me started on the carpet. You can find much better for a similar price around Manchester.
Good location. That was about the only thing positive. Rooms were simply mediocre for the consideration of the prices. Breakfast waiter acted very strange, providing very off-putting and discomforting service. Stayed until morning of Sunday 13th July. Will not be staying again.
WiFi did not connect. The breakfast fails to cater for vegans - there needs to be vegan sausages and vegan bacon on the menu at the very least. Room is basic, but the corridors are somewhat fun to explore. Good location if you want central Manchester for a relatively modest price.
Great location, however you have to take into account the cons of being in the centre, like noise. This wasn't an issue for us and to be expected. Staff friendly and accommodating, will definitely return to this great value for money hotel
