Easy to navigate, and train on time. Environment clean. Not too big but portable. Good for its purpose. Toilet open, neat and clean.
Certainly seems much cleaner than it used to be!nPlenty of information available on train arrivals and departures , including BSL signed information.nToilets clean and tidy.nMy pet peeve is Platform 0: tacked on to one end of the status you have to walk to the end of one platform before using either really steep steps or the lift to get to an airport style overhead walkway which eventually leads to lift/ steep stairway backdown to ground level.nEven with the lifts it is a long and difficult route to this platform so allow a lot of time to get there!
When I arrived at Doncaster station, the next train was at 5am the staff kicked us out in the cold at 2am in the morning. With no where to go and in the middle of winter, they said to wait outside at 0*C while there was a warm waiting room where we could sit and wait for our train. We did not know that the station would be closing. With no accommodation and place to go to the toilet or rest we were left on the street at 2 am in the cold.nThe staff were extremely rude and did not have any care for other human beings let alone customers and this was LNER staff no less.nWorst experience ever.
First class lounge is atrocious.nCoffee machines either switched off or not working. NO hot water.nNo snacks available.nCould not get any of sockets to charge my mobile phone.nRandom people wintered in and used toilets.nIt appears that whoever is in charge is clearly not up to his/ her job.nI will be checking it out on my return.
Lovely city. You can find everything here: museums, small shops and malls, parks, good restaurants and beautiful suburbs.
