When you pay a premium for city-center parking, you expect a certain level of cleanliness and safety. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Civic Quarter Car Park APCOA in Doncaster failed to meet even the most basic standards. For a facility that brands itself as a primary parking hub for the Civic Quarter, it was a major disappointment.nLack of UpkeepnThe first thing I noticed upon parking was the state of the facility. It was notably dirty, with litter and a general lack of maintenance that makes the whole building feel neglected. When you're paying to leave your vehicle in a multi-storey, you at least expect the stairs and walkways to be kept in a decent condition, but that clearly isn't a priority here.nSteep PricingnThe cost of parking here is another major sticking point. It felt incredibly expensive for what is being offered. There are several other parking options in Doncaster that offer better value for money without the grime. It’s hard to justify these high rates when the facility itself feels so run-down.nSecurity ConcernsnPerhaps most concerning was the apparent lack of security. During my time there, I couldn't see any visible security presence or active monitoring. In a multi-storey environment, feeling that your car and yourself is safe is paramount, but the lack of visible staff or obvious security measures left me feeling uneasy.nFinal VerdictnBetween the high costs, the lack of cleanliness, and the questionable security, I won't be in a hurry to use this car park again. There are better-maintained and more reasonably priced spots nearby that feel much safer. If you’re heading into Doncaster, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
PRICES as per my photo are correct as of 12th January 2026. Fairly priced car park that is pay via machine on exit, so no need to guess how long you're going to be. Bays are about standard for this type of car park, not too small. Good location, seems adequate as far as car parks go!
Very convenient for a Cast theatre visit. Parking straight forward, safe and secure and Cedric, the parking attendant, ensured we received our concession rate for attending the theatre - parking for £1! Great service, good car park.
Spacious parking, you enter, and pay at exit. There are 2 touch screen pay machines, very easy to navigate, issuing the receipt in an instant. Very efficient system.
On the 10 of January 2026 something bad happened in town me and my Mrs were on our way back home and did not fell safe so we went in to the carpark office and ask a lovey man working there if we can stay here till someone comes to meet us so we know that we are safenThe man was a very welcome lovely person he made me and my Mrs fell very safe for the time we was there even tho it was less then 20 minutes he was one of the few people I would ask for help again in this situation
