A nice looking hotel, very friendly staff and lovely and clean. However, the room was a lot smaller than expected and had a view into the back windows of peoples houses. The food was great and we had a very nice meal before heading to the theatre. One disappointment was the guest information book in the room stating that breakfast was included in the cost of the room. However, when we checked out we found we were charged for the cost of breakfast. The explanation being that the room information is just a general guide and that we'd only booked a room without breakfast.

A lovely English pub style dining experience. Warning: they serve fancy chips here so don't be shocked if you receive fat blocks of fried potatoes when you order chips. The food was nice however, definitely not a cheap eat but for the quality of the food, the price you pay is reasonable. Overall, nice.

We love visiting The Townhouse when we're in Stratford. It's has a great atmosphere and the pianist they have playing each early evening a wonderful. There's a great choice of drinks and the food is delicious.

Great atmosphere on 'live music' night, only 3 stars as it takes so long to get served when it's busy. Great cocktails mind, so simply double down whilst you're at the bar.

If you get put in room 9 when you purchased a superior double room you will quickly realise its not as advertised. Superior double is advertised as having a front view. After complaining room 9 was tiny with no real window and the tiny one that it did have faced out the back against a wall. We was moved to room 4 which was bigger and had a window. Again not street facing. There is a terrible noise all night that sounds like a pair of shoes in a tumble dryer. I feel if I was given a correct room I would have seen past the noise. I would not stay here again.
