This is a very conveniently located hotel, 5 minutes' walk from Piccadilly Station and within walking distance of all city centre attractions. The staff are very helpful. The hotel has been nicely refurbished. The rooms are large, with great bathrooms with both bath and shower. One thing to be aware of, though, is that something possessed the hotel management to think it would be a good idea to remove desks from the rooms. Having to try and work on a small round coffee table while sitting in an easy chair is very uncomfortable, as I discovered. So, if you're travelling for leisure this is a great choice but for business travellers I'd say probably best to look elsewhere unless you enjoy going to the osteopath! PS I wonder which of the automatic bot replies my review will get
We stayed here last night for 1 night and I have to start off by saying the rooms are beautiful, the tv is large and the beds are very spacious. However, upon arrival I noticed there were long hairs on the shower floor, I did want a bath but after noticing this I didn’t trust the cleanliness of the bath. There was also a lot of hair on the floor in front of the mirror in the main room used to get ready I presume so clearly the room hasn’t been hoovered prior to our visit and the shower possibly not cleaned from the last visitor.nnUnfortunately the worst part for me is how firm the mattresses are, I have never laid on a mattress so hard in my life, luckily we had two double beds in our room so I took the quilt from the second bed and folded it in half to lay on as a bit of extra padding, I still felt the firmness of the mattress but it does take the pain of the firmness off my hips slightly. I was awoken at 7:30am by the banging and clanging of workers outside which persisted for 20 minutes not the hotels fault. After going out and arriving back at my hotel I did go to the bar to request a glass of water, before I asked there were a couple next to me who asked the bar man the same question, in which they were told there’s no water available - what does this even mean? Do you not have taps? So there was no point in me asking, we had to drink from the bathroom sink which isn’t very hygienic considering it’s next to the toilet. Perhaps a couple bottles of water could be supplied per room in the fridges upon arrival. There were plenty of towels and the aircon worked great, iron and ironing board supplied too, I can’t fault this part of my stay.nnOverall, beautiful spacious and modern room but multiple factors let it down for me. The hotel is well presented but I didn’t get the 4* feel from my stay, personally.
It's very close to Manchester Piccadilly station - about 3 minutes south of the station. There's a decent bar on-site. Breakfast is reasonable probably not worthy of a 4* hotel. Rooms are a decent size, with many having king sized beds at least ours did. It's convenient and close to the city centre, without the melee of Piccadilly Gardens. There's a decent sized gym on site, with a spa as well, though apparently it gets booked quickly.
Stayed here for two nights, had a clean spacious room on 4th floor. Large screen tv but no easy of connecting to my laptop - really annoying.nnService was good but had to wait in a queue to check-in, perhaps add more staff at busy times.nnGood breakfast with a range of options.nnBar staff could be a little more friendly though overall ok.nnWould stay here again.
As a regular and loyal Marriott guest with elite status, I’ve come to expect a certain level of service, but the Manchester Marriott Piccadilly team truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a warmth that made me feel immediately at home. The attention to detail at this property is remarkable. The interiors are not only new, fresh, and sophisticated, but they also exude a calming ambiance with their warm pastel tones. It’s a modern elegance that feels both luxurious and inviting.nnI stayed in Room 602, and it was an absolute delight. The room was spacious, bright, and impeccably clean, offering ample space to relax and unwind. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and the amenities provided were top-notch. The large windows allowed natural light to flood the room, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city.nnOne of the highlights of my stay was the M Lounge. It’s a beautifully designed space where you can enjoy a variety of delicious snacks and drinks throughout the day. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed, making it an ideal spot to catch up on some work or simply unwind. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Emily, the Guest Relations Manager, along with her team, provided a level of hospitality that was second to none. Their courteous and professional demeanour made every interaction a pleasure, and they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect in every way.nnThe Manchester Marriott Piccadilly has set a new standard for me, and I can confidently say that this is now my go-to hotel whenever I’m in Manchester. The combination of beautiful interiors, comfortable rooms, and outstanding service makes it a true gem in the heart of the city. I eagerly look forward to my next stay and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
