Darren was fantastic, super patient and transparent and guided us through everything. Delivery was quicker than expected and the sofa is absolutely gorgeous. It was our first time using DFS and we will definitely use in the future as we found the process very easy and communication was fantastic. Very disappointing experience with DFS Alvis retail park Coventry.nnOn 07/11/2025, I was explicitly promised by the salesperson that my sofa would be delivered before Christmas. Based on this assurance, I chose an in-store stock sofa with express delivery instead of selecting my own preferred option. I was told the display model would be kept aside and delivered before 25/12/2025.nnAfter the sale was completed, I received no updates at all. I then had to chase, only to be told that delivery might now be around 30/12/2025 with no certainty. By this time, payments have already started being deducted.nnIf I had been told the true delivery timeline from the start, I would have made alternative arrangements with another retailer. The promise made at the point of sale was the main reason I chose DFS, and it has not been honoured.nnExtremely disappointed with the lack of communication and the failure to deliver as promised.nnWill not recommend this kind of service.
Great and friendly staff. Very well informed staff that are able to navigate you to the items that suit your requirements. Easy access around this store. Extremely clean and well presented.nnAfter having been to all other sofa retail stores in and around coventry I think we will be ordering from here very soon.
Ordered a sofa for £3600 and still haven’t received my leather care kit for the sofa after calling 3-4 times. They said it would take two weeks, it’s been over a month and still nothing. The delivery men who delivered my sofa smelt really badly of body odour to the point where we had to ask them leave building the sofa and they kept dropping my sofa as it was too heavy for the young lad they employed to do it.
Bought a sofa from there and regretted it instantly. We were missold the sofa and the arm keeps falling off, which is dangerous because I have a kid in the house and the arms are quite heavy. DFS has refused to do anything impactful about it and was told that was how it was designed. Instead , telling us to pay an addition 40% of the original value £2,300 of the sofa to get it replaced. They are a disgrace. I will advice you stay away from this retailer
