Dhaval and Luiz were really helpful this evening. They have assisted me in the past with general bike maintenance in the past and with issues I have had with a second hand bike and security bolts that I didn’t have the correct tools for. They have patiently listened to my questions and have helped me to find cost effective solutions on at least 3 occasions over the past year.nnThe staff at decathlon southside have always gone above and beyond to assist me with any requests and their service has been greatly appreciated on many occasions.
Lawrence in the cycling section was incredibly helpful in guiding me through my purchase as a first-time cyclist. He took the time to explain everything clearly and even helped install the lock and phone holder efficiently. The whole experience was smooth and professional. Highly recommend — 5 stars!
Extremely unhelpful employees in the bike section even hostile with customers.nI have bought this rear wheel from Decathlon https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/motorised-rear-wheel-42nm-28-freewheel-25c/371585/m8969354nnand went to ask to buy a cable for the wheel to be able to connect it.nThe person in the bike section refused to sell me the cable and also refused even to tell me what kind is the connection for this cable if I don't bring my bike.nExtremely unprofessional and not customer friendly attitude.nIf you don't sell vital parts for this wheel - why you even selling it.nShame on you Decathlon and this person should loose his job absolutely immediately !
I came by earlier this week to ask about the options for fixing my kids bike, with a service feeling like the most obvious choice but knowing we had a specific issue with the bike too.nnI met Louis who advised me that the best course of action was to book in a free evaluation of the bike as this would give me the best options for how to proceed, and would likely save me money. I wanted to make this review as most bike shops would have taken the money but the advice led to us getting a full repair, a safer bike and saving money on the original cost.nnCouldn't recommend more, and the bike was repaired 30 mins after I was given a quote. This will be my first stop from now on, and the expertise I received was excellent and considered.
I recently bought a mountain bike at Decathlon and had to change the size, and later realized it wasn’t the right bike for me. I went back and forth to the store several times, and Louis was always patient, polite, and extremely helpful throughout the whole process. He made everything much easier and was always available to assist me. A real plus for the store!
