Really nice receptionist, handy location. Rooms not great, first room smelled of damp. Looks like as its on a slope the earth is now above the DPC so damp permeating on the rooms at the front. Moved to room 35 and that was fine for the money as long as you appreciate this is a value hotel. So basic but a bit tired.Rooms: 2/5
My husband mentioned my mobility issues when booking so we were given a "disabled" room close to the entrance. The room was a good size and the bath had low sides and plenty of handrails. The bathroom door was hard to close. The knob to engage the shower didn't work. We stayed two nights but the room wasn't tidied during the day, nor were the tea/coffee replaced. OK for an overnight stop.
Staff fantastic. Really friendly and can’t do enough for you. Location great. Rooms tidy and clean and perfect for a stopover when travelling. Food & drinks: Costa, McDonald’s and WHSmith in the neighbouring building. Pub short walk in the village.
We stayed for a night with family. It was a very comfortable stay and the room size was more than enough for a 2+2 family. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall it is value for the money.Rooms: 4/5
Dated but OK. The rooms really need some tlc to bring them up to modern standards, including updating plug sockets and heating. They also need to look at fixing the bathroom floor. However, the beds were comfortable and the staff helpful. For the price, it was what I expected. Food & drinks: There is a service station opposite with limited fast food availability for dinner. Not much choice if you have a restricted or specific diet, especially on Sundays.
Easy to find; easy check in and ground floor rooms . Well heated , comfortable bed and good towels Rooms: Had all the necessary facilities ; comfortable bed and surprisingly quiet given its location close to a highway and a truck stop
Stopped off on our travels down to Southampton from Yorkshire, very convenient location to sleep over in order to reach the docks for a cruise ship out of Southampton. Rooms clean and we heard no noise despite it being on a services.Rooms: 4/5

Late arrival as we were last guest to check in, easily and quickly checked in and in our room in a matter of minutes. Staff very helpful, and customer care it a top priority with them Rooms: Room was large and the one we had was a family roon with double bed and a single bed, pristenly clean and fully stocked. Nearby activities: N/A Safety: Good Walkability: N/A Food & drinks: Only on an over nightstay, so did not take part in the food offer, but ould drinks could be purchased from reception, and hot drinks already in your room Noteworthy details: N/A
The staff were absolutely lovely. We got there with no reservations and they got us rooms almost next to each other. However, the rooms are very dated and the facility are are poor. Really need more plug sockets, it had two, the telly was one and the kettle had the other. Some of the rails and including the toilet and flusher were loose. Sadly because of the loose loo there was a strong smell of stale urine in there. They need to invest in a handyman and some bleach.
