Been a member here for about 4 years now and I really enjoy my visits to the club. The staff go above and beyond to be helpful and friendly and make me feel welcome. I'd like to give a shout out to Steve, who is a great asset to the David Lloyd, Reading team; he is always willing to help with any questions, he's full of energy and motivation in classes and hes also a great laugh whilst remaining professional and hard working within the club. Overall a great gym environment and a place where I am happy to go alone or with friends/family to work out and feel comfortable.

I used to belong to David Lloyd Reading, taking a break back when I needed to be cautious in the days we were learning about COVID and then joined classes at a local Leisure Centre. However, due to a knee replacement I can’t do one of the classes and knew the David Lloyd Gym would be better for me. When I joined I was advised to have my introductory session in the gym with Stephen Barratt and great advice that was. I am now considering having on going sessions with Stephen as he clearly understands what I need, the level I can work at and is a good listener. Additionally I am doing Aqua Aerobics and hope to get back to swimming which I haven’t done since leaving David Lloyd. The star rating I have given is for the club - it’s too early to fully rate the club as I only joined early December.

Been a member now for two years and this has been by far the best one. The roof off the pool has been amazing. Rain or shine there is nothing better than a swim and it is never too busy, can always find a lane or somewhere to sit by the pool. The gym is brilliant, plenty of equipment and really friendly staff to help when you need a bit of advice on what you are doing. 2 years ago I didn’t think I’d be a gym person but I can’t get enough of it now

I've recently joined David Lloyd in Reading. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. A very special thanks to Stephen, who was fantastic during my introductory PT session. Thank you for your invaluable guidance on correct postures & how to use some of the fitness equipment !

Usually the type who posts review only if I find the experience bad but this time I just had to!nJoe was super friendly! Walked me through the club and answered every question no matter how stupid it was! I was mainly concerned on the club being crowded but it was well balanced considering I had my tour on a Sunday!nThe club has great, well maintained facilities including steam and sauna rooms, cafe, swimming pool and a fairly large gym with ample parking.nWas a tad disappointed to learn the club not having badminton court but learned we can access with no extra cost at other same tier clubs which isn’t quite far if we ever wanted to play badminton which was relief.
