University of Reading Sports Park Updates and Information

Story

The University Of Reading Sports Park is open to everyone. This includes students, staff and the community, anyone is welcome to come and visit our state of the art facilities.
We have a 100+ stationed air conditioned fitness studio and offer over 80 different fitness classes per week.
With opening times until 22:00 on a weekday and 21:00 at a weekend we are sure we can cater for everyone’s needs.

"Based next to the University's main Shinfield Road entrance, the SportsPark is easily accessible for students and staff and for members of the public. Sportspark has a number of indoor and outdoor facilities such as: Multi-purpose Sportshall, VO2, Fitness Studio, Two studios for dance, yoga and fitness, VO2 Group Exercise, Squash courts, Tennis courts, Synthetic Turf Pitch, SoccerPark."

Amazing Sports and Leisure center in the middle of the town!  Their VO2 Max membership allows to book all indoor Badminton, Squash and Table Tennis courts to be booked Free!! Hardly any other center allows Free these days!  Lot of Gym/Fitness classes to explore and lots of Parking  around the Campus..

A really good gym with a decent variety of machines and lots of classes available. However, it does feel like it lacks some space when it gets busy particularly in the evening. I’d recommend going earlier in the day if you want an uninterrupted workout.

This is just great, only play 6-a side footy there but it’s always great and now they have resurfaced the pitches which is so much better. It’s clean like no other pitch in Reading and staff is respectful as well.

Nice sports centre but i think the facilities i.e toilets and changing rooms are very basic compared to other gyms. Hence only 3 stars.

Great sport facilities & a warm welcome.

I'm sorry but the university gym ain't even it. It's too small, the lights are too dim, it's not fully equipped, it appears to be in a constant state of disarray with plates and bars all over the place. Not even worth the price I paid for. Management tried to upsell me at first and they refused to let me cancel until after 2 months.

Really well priced, gym membership and as many classes a week as you want. The only thing is it gets v busy during peak times, feels like it needs to be bigger with more equipment for a university gym.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Sufficient parking spaces are provided for users. Cafe is located near the entrance to indoor sports hall.

Good facilities and good price. However, they start charging every one non-membership extra 1£ for using indoors courts which is not fair. I book football pitch, and i only pay the fees. But for the indoors courts everyone needs to l Pay extra 1£

Have VO2 Max membership and played on the tennis court the most, I have to say very bad tennis court management
