Great park lots of beautiful animals and all are very tame and cared for greatly by the friendly staff, who are on hand to answer any questions you may have about any of the animals in the park. The prices are great for entry. They do holding sessions where you can get close and personal to some of the reptiles and other small animals. They also have lots of different walkways through animal shelters where some animals are laid close to the paths. Some are so close you are able to touch them also. They have hand washing facilities all round the parks so after touching an animal you can easily wash and sanitise your hands. The food shop is good with the gift shop to the side making everything accessible. They also provide a map of the park so you are able to find your favourite animals easily and quickly. Would definitely go again.

This is the real life setting for the book and film, "We Bought A Zoo". I was first inspired to visit after seeing the film and noticing in the end credits that Benjamin Mee is a real man and that he and is family really did buy a zoo. As zoos go, Dartmoor Zoo is quite a small one, but it packs a lot in! Many of the animals were already quite old when I first visited in 2013, and a few, like Solomon the lion (as featured in the film) have since sadly passed away. But great, new additions have since been introduced 😊!

A great zoo with some stunning animals who are very well looked after. From Meerkats to Brown Bears, from goats to tigers this place has got it all. The site is easy to navigate & the cafe is good. My little one loved every minute of it, especially when the tigers were play fighting. Matt Damon doesn't do it justice

Love this place. The film to me made it even more of an experience because you can feel how much hard work has been put in over the years. Take it for what it is, a family run Zoo.

Had a fantastic day doing the Big Cat Experience Day, even got to see the bear and the wolves. Really good experience! The staff was really friendly and second to none.
