It has a fantastic selection of wildlife including wolves, lynx, wild boar, red fox, otters and red squirrels. At weekends and holidays you'll find hands-on activities in the authentic Saxon Village. It also has a great cafe in a Victorian coach house featuring a full range of meals, snack and amazing home made biscuits and cakes. Very nice little place. We enjoyed the little squirrel forest and wondered why there was another squirrel enclosure? We got to see the wolves hanging around beside the owl enclosure which was really cool! The otters weren't out when we went to see them earlier on in the day so we went back to have another look and they were squeeking loads, waiting for food. It was great seeing them get fed and then rummage around in the enclosure to get all the little bits. Entry is reasonably priced and it was very quiet on the Monday when we visited.
We spent a bit of a wet autumn morning at Wildwood with our two year old and had a really nice time. The grounds are beautiful and we saw lots of the animals including the red squirrels in the squirrel woodland walk through, bears, lynx and wolves. Our toddler really enjoyed the pirate ship play area and we all had lunch in the cafe. We would love to visit in the spring/summer and will return when we are next in this part of the world.
We booked our spaces the day before, lovely day out. My girls enjoyed the butterfly hunt so much and the saxon village was lovely although it would be lovely to see a few more things happening in there. The animals were lovely to see and all seem content. I was extremely happy to be able to get a glimpse of the wolves and the red squirrels : lovely day out and worth the price
Good couple of hours with the grandkids, found the Saxon village and talk about wolves interesting. Deserves to do well. Reasonably priced, we went in the winter when it was a bit quiet.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure

Great place to visit with children. Lots of nice walks and hidden things to explore. Cafe was good and really quick service. Loads of beautiful animals. Would definitely visit again.
Love coming to Escot, got a season ticket for the animals, love seeing the wolves, and the bears when there out, always pop in for food in the cafe and is always great quality, bathrooms do need updating but work as they should.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A nice little attraction, somewhere quieter than the big names in Devon. Everything is well laid out and interesting. It is accessible for wheelchair users, however some areas, even the accessible routes, are uneven, rooty and broken paths, which my electric wheelchair did struggle with on a dry day. Mud and rain would have made some areas inaccessible. The bears are a fab new addition but the otters are our favourite.
Beautiful bears! We went for a bear experience. The staff were lovely and the bears were so happy and content. The experience was wonderful and I would recommend to anyone.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Lovely place, we try to go as a family at least once a year. Not a big fan of the noise you hear from the outdoor part that has been added on but that is no fault of the staff working with the animals and trees just ruins the peacefulness of it slightly when you can hear qaudbikes and such. BUT don't let that put you off. Lovely array of animals and staff are friendly and smiley which really helps. The animals all look well looked after and the trees and place itself is very beautiful. I highly recommend a visit. Definitely a good place to go if you like nature and National trust type places.
