Had a great time here on the Christmas train, a very well done experience, we all loved it. Would definitely go again. Included a ride on the steam train and an opportunity to meet Santa and his two elves. The kids got a present, and we all had some Christmas punch (spiced apple juice) and a mince pie. Very festive and definitely put us in the Christmas mood. ☺

We came to Santa by steam today and it was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!! We cannot recommend this enough... the staff were fantastic and very attentive! It was very magical for the kids and the snacks and drinks supplied were an added bonus!!! Very impressed thank you very much our kids loved it!

Great way to travel and a wonderful experience even if you do not have children! You can combine the train with the otters and rare breeds centre, both of which are worth a visit. The rare breeds is particularly good for children! You can enjoy a glass of wine as the train makes its way along the river Dart!

Enjoyable journey on the steam train. Well stocked model shop in Buckfastleigh, with an interesting miniature railway and museum. Not the cheapest day out though at £15 for adults.

A fascinating place. The stations are very attractively decorated and clean. Trains and rolling stock are in excellent condition and the staff and volunteers were helpful and well informed. The track runs down the delightful Dart Valley - lovely. Railway buffs and families alike will love it. Throw in a butterfly farm and an otter sanctuary and you have a super day out.
