If I am going to score then I will be honest. I attended the conference. Check in was easy but as I have a fear of lifts and being stuck in one so I always use the stairs. There were no easy access stairs. Why do hotels insist stairs are staff only. Anyways I was shown the stairs by a member of staff which were Fire exit stairs and It led to a set of grubby stair wells. My room appeared clean however there was a contact lens on the floor which has clearly been missed from the clean. Not mine as I don't wear contacts. The shower had a leak and sprayed water everywhere. I did report to reception as I checked out. The conference was very good and the food provided was very tasty. You just fell short With my room sadly
The rooms are decent size compared to other hotels in London. I just had a hard time getting on the elevator in the morning. Waited about 10 minutes before I could get one that can fit me in and I stayed at the 11 floor. There’s 4 elevators but seems only 2 of them are working. Other than the elevator situation, the stay was pretty good and the rooms are clean. Noteworthy details: It’s really close to Edgewater station
Busy hotel. Check in was good. Rooms as expected. What I find odd having stayed in many hotels in major cities is the bar shuts at 1pm. No facilities for drinks for guests. You'd expect a major hotel in a major city to be 24 hours. Not this one. Room service was more like deliveroo than a hotel service. The quality of the food was great but limited. Would not stay here again for a night out in the city unfortunately. Not sure why this Hilton is so different to other major Hilton hotels in major cities but indicative of the decline in London over recent years.
Stayed at the Hilton whilst traveling here on business. It was a decent experience. The greeting wasn't all that warm... wasn't welcomed as a Hilton member as I usually am... Rooms were a tad small with thin walls as you could hear all of your neighbors sides, above and below. My room had an awkward odor and didn't have shampoo. House keeping also knocked on my door at 8:30 AM to do service.... that is far too early.to do housekeeping, and quite unpleasant to be interrupted that early. Their fitness facility was quite nice, along with a decent breakfast restaurant. It is in a nice location walkable to Paddington station along with other desired destinations. For the amount paid, I would have expected a bit better.
I recently stayed at the Hilton Metropole London and had a generally positive experience, though some aspects could be improved. The location is fantastic for exploring the city, and we were upgraded to a spacious executive room. The bed was comfortable, and it was quiet at night, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The staff were helpful and polite throughout our stay. However, the large size of the hotel meant staff seemed stretched at times. There was no bell service to help with taxis, making rush hour transportation challenging. The water pressure in the shower was weak, and breakfast in the main dining room was disappointing, with limited variety and low-quality items. The executive lounge breakfast was better but had fewer options. Additionally, our room wasn’t ready until 5:30 pm due to delays. Overall, the location and service make it a solid choice, especially if you can access the executive perks. Food & drinks: The breakfast in the main lounge is mediocre.
We had an excellent stay in London this week. We were early to check-in and while our room wasn't ready the concierge gladly held our bags for the day. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient by Paddington station, a less than 10 min walk.Rooms: 5/5
Would definitely recommend. Some rooms have been recently renovated and look very modern and nice. We were given a free upgrade and dessert to commemorate our anniversary. The executive king room was very spacious, did not feel restricted in anyway. The lounge area was very lively and modern and the service from all staff was excellent. The executive lounge was good, would’ve been better had they had more options however was still nice to get away from hustle and bustle of the lobby.
Everyone at the Hotel is very helpful and friendly. Service and food offer are great at the breakfast room , pristine cleaning at the room very, very comfortable by the way and you do not have the feeling you are at a 1100 rooms hotel. Location is also super convenient with easy access to several metro lines. Super!Rooms: 5/5
I recently stayed at the Hilton London Metropole for my anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The front office staff recognized me upon check-in and generously upgraded me to a room on their top floor, which was a lovely touch. A special thank you to both the ladies at FO, sorry I forgot their names. The hotel’s central location made it incredibly convenient for getting around the city. I also enjoyed the lounge, which offered a good selection of food and drinks. Every part of my stay was fantastic. The only area for improvement would be the breakfast buffet—it has plenty of variety, but the quality could be better. I’ll leave it to the chefs to refine this. Overall, I had a great stay and look forward to returning
It's been a very long time since I was in London last... it's changed a lot! First time at this hotel when, back in the day, not many buildings were as tall. Was in town for a June conference, and I'll tell you blokes.. I hope I can go back someday soon. The location was great, and within walking range of all you'd want want to see. Museums... History... 10 Downing.. Big Ben.. Trafalgar Square.. and a couple of Hard Rocks to boot. The hotel was spacious, and the room was great. Stopped by and enjoyed the restaurant and bar staff... top notch! It was so comfortable and quiet in the evenings.. slept very well. Woke relaxed, and the breakfasts were awesome! One of the best bathroom showers I've ever had! Chauffered in and out, so not knowledgeable about the parking, but the people I was here with all spoke highly of it. Keep up the awesome work! The staff were friendly and kept the place running like a tight ship! See you again down the road! Rooms: Comfortable rooms with plenty of space, storage, and the bathrooms.. modern and one of the most functional ones I've seen.
