A very pleasant evening spent here. Most of this theatre is very old but kept quite fresh with the cleanliness. I didn't come across any mustiness that the old cinema had that was down the road. Staff were as nice and friendly. A few sound difficulties, but the actors were able to broadcast their voices around.
In terms of Panto, and the experience for the price, I must say that the 2019 production of Goldilocks blew me away. The cast were magnificent and were so accessible and likeable in their performances. We had great fun this year. Many thanks to one and all!
The show was fantastic, the theatre had all that you could ask for. Just be aware, on this night, the bar was cash only, not sure if this is a regular occurrence but advice talking cash to avoid disappointment.
Nice little venue which hosts smaller plays, musicals and gigs. Usually reasonably priced entry. Take cash for the bar as the card machine is not working today has never worked everyone I've been
Cosy venue with great views no matter where you're sitting. Great for a stripped down set with a more intimate vibe
The panto was amazing ! The best panto I’ve been to in years. Exceptional value for money and we were literally all buzzing when we came out. I’d recommend it to anyone - there are still tickets available. Get them now!!
Overall the night was fantastic, just a little pricey for what you’d expect compared to other venues in the area. A little crouched in certain places but overall a good night out with the family and friends
Quirky theatre and a bit of a hidden gem. We did have to queue outside for quite a while but the beautiful theatre restored from 20s cinema days was worth it. Plenty going on and friendly staff
Old style theatre, best panto ever, Goldilocks even if you didn't have kids. Seen many great comedians here too.
