We usually go to events like Halloween at the Band On The Wall on Swan Street venue. Because of the present renovation of the band on the wall, this time band on the wall had the function at the Yard. The Yard is a nice venue not far from Manchester centre located in an old building, which was originally built as school. The space where the Halloween event was held was very pleasant and nice and so were the attendants and the staff at The Yard. We learnt they will having other events The Yard and we planning to attend.
Great new arts and culture venue. Cracking sound system, good beers, friendly staff, and brilliant night at Sticky Heat. Looking forward to getting back there in April.
Card only gaffe, lucky my pal bought me some drinks. Great sound. No seats tho..tbh I prefer the outside gigs here, but realise it's a pain sorting the stage etc out for a smaller show. John Bramwell as perfect as always. A troubadour of a showman, tales n songs to engage the masses or a few delicate flowers.
The Yard is a fantastic small to medium size venue in a fairly convenient location. The ambience is excellent and a lot of thought has obviously gone in to the creation of the performance and workspaces. There is a small, but well stocked and reasonably priced bar.
Such a nice cosy intimate place. Great acoustics, loads of street parking, would recommend a visit to this independent venue
Went to see Marconi Union, great little venue, loads of decent places to eat nearby. Free on road parking
Absolutely great atmosphere on NYE vibe was perfect, music and ppl were amazing the food was outstanding The ethos of the place is absolutely perfect this side of Manchester
I saw the Jamie Murray 'Evolution' - it was fantastic. A great live music venue. The staff were great too!
A really tastefully converted warehouse tucked away in an area you wouldn't expect. Lovely main performance space. Intimate - no more than 150 people, I reckon. Bar is small and a bit inconveniently located next to the stage but well stocked with spirits and plenty of different cans of beer from a couple of local breweries. Staff were very helpful and enthusiastic. Apparently lots of studio space used during the day time.
My first visit to this hidden little gem of a venue was to see Marconi Union and supporting cast , what a cracking lovely space to spend a few hours with it's sympathetic restoration to the friendly staff and the high quality music in a relaxed setting I would recommend people to check it out .
