Great place to go. You can get a drink, food etc. The prices aren't a complete rip off like some places. Getting in was easy, no queues. Security was quick and easy but still enough to feel safe. Seats are comfortable enough to sit on for a few hours. Sound was pretty good. Getting out was a bit more involved with everyone coming out together, if you're in no rush leave it about 15 mins till most people have cleared out. The only negative thing is the stairs are quite steep and could be a little disconcerting for some people.
Really great experience, the arena is very easy to navigate around and it’s located next to Victoria train station in central Manchester, which is also connected to Piccadilly train station via the tram, parking is ample although the higher you go the more difficult to exit after a concert, prices are fairly respectable on the parking side of things, However prices inside of the area are a little steep but to be fair that’s to be expected! I have been to the arena quite a few times and always found it pretty decent! It’s definitely worth getting seats closer to the stage same as any venue
Great arena! Excellent transport connections. On-site food and drink is pricey but could be worse. Think cinema prices and you're in the right ball park. Loads of toilets and no queue, even for the women's loos. Staff know exactly what they're doing with moving people in and out safely.
I can’t thank the arena enough for stepping in to host the Manchester gigs for Take That. The lead up to to gigs was very tense given the on and off potential of the Co-Op being able to host. I was also getting really concerned about our safety. However AO stepped in and made our two nights at the gigs a wonderful experience. All of the Staff where lovely and so helpful. Take That were of course fabulous! Thank you, thank you, thank you
Great experience from a viewing the show side of things... stage is easy to see from a range of angles, with nothing to block view. Because of the height of the tiered seats even small people like me dont have to worry about a tall person infront, great pyrotechnics, great sound quality with just the right amount of base. Great acts been several times, highly recommend. The only issues are around people management. The queues for anything, food, merch, drinks, exiting were ridiculous... just makes you wonder about emergencies
Great venue, food on the expensive side so eat before you go. Drinks are like.paying for gold. Generally OK though. Saw Tenacious D there, brilliant concert.
I like this arena it's in a great location next to Victoria Station. There is also parking at the venue with plenty of disabled places. Once inside, the arena food and drink are expensive but not overly. I've sat in many blocks, I find the back gives you a better overall view of the stage. I have found the side blocks next to the stage 102&116 quite restrictive depending on what act you are watching.
Amazing morning out with my son to see the hot Wheels monster truck show. The arena was a great experience, ran very smoothly and the staff were friendly and helpful. Refreshments didn't break the bank either which was a nice touch. The crash party tickets were a nice touch but no need to get there on time not enough to fill 90 minutes.
I went to watch strictly live in the afternoon. Excellent show and although we were half way up we could see and hear everything. Security seemed a bit lax. We weren't searched but they said the scanners would pick anything untoward up. The food and drink was ridiculously expensive so only a 3 star. Why do all these venues try to rip off their customers? More fool those who pay silly prices.
Saw 30 Seconds to Mars 7/6/24. Thought the drink prices were normal for an arena venue, you know that before you go, we had good seats which were fine to sit for a few hours. Sounds was fab. My only thing was the steps are so steep and I'm scared of heights so going down was not great . All in all it was a fab night.
