This Currys store is situated on the Newmarket road as you head into Cambridge city center. It has a large free well kept car park which has several disabled and parents parking bays. The footpath and entrance into the store is good making wheelchair entry smooth. The store itself is large with are large selection of goods. Most of the smaller items are take away but the larger items such as tumble dryers , washing machines etc are order in-store for home delivery. There is a delivery charge of £20 to £30 which doesn't make it quite as cheap as it appears. I found the same goods online for a lower price with free home delivery. It is however a good opportunity to see what you are buying. I had no issues negotiating the isles as they were wide and unobstructed. There is no customer toilets in-store. There is also no EV charging in the carpark.
A massive shout out to James who helped me with my phone today. I could not be more grateful for his prompt, thorough and compassionate customer care. He helped me solve the issue quickly, easily and professionally, and left me feeling incredibly satisfied with my experience and with Currys. Cannot thank him enough for helping me at what was a difficult time, and making what could've been a horrible experience a very pleasant interaction. 10/10 give this man a raise.
Staff was very helpful and keen to assist. Have to say amazing service and friendliness from "95 Logan" who help me out when the price was wrong. Very kind and happy young man. Store visit time 12:46 04/10/22
One star is more than what they deserve, ridiculous service, absolutely wasting time ,money and greedy. My S22ultra less than five months old and for 6 weeks got C port issue which is doesn't charge the phone, and message with alarm appears on the screen said moisture can't charge, I bought two different charger and wireless charger. Anyway I reported this issue to be repaired and took me three days to get picked up after them passing me to each other with different phone number to call,and after one week receiving the phone 5 percentage charge and the problem as it it's with letter said we don't fix damage phone ,I didn't ask for bloody silly damage on the back to be fixed, just sort the charging issue, I called again and again passing me to each other and finally spoke to me nast lady she didn't listen just shouting and put the phone on me!! They acting and hanging around you like a dogs while you trying to buy and after ignorant, also pushing you so hard to have their funking insurance otherwise no help not even under manufacturing warranty.
Popped instore this morning for a replacement hair dryer. At the checkout, an English Lit student at Cambridge Uni on the till, decided I needed cheering up so included an extra discount.. What a little star and he has definitely cheered me up. There are some very kind people in this world, just not enough. Thank you very much…you know who you are :-
Was able to help my Nan get some new things such as a printers ect today which was helpful, however my parents also went and tried to ask a manager at this site called Sid for assistance on finding another member of staff after being told to do so to help them and he was very rude and condescending. I think it’s pathetic especially in a time were sales will be higher, which is what businesses like this will thrive on. Other staff are more helpful so don’t generalise this store based on the manager:
I came to write a review but found that another review below by Richard matches exactly my experience. I can't believe. The prices were not displayed below laptops. Some of them were on and had prices displayed in their screens. I requested a rep and said that I would like to buy a few laptops rightaway for datacentre work. He said the approximate price of the one that I requested and disappeared and hiding away from me all the time. Someone else was talking to a non-buyer for ~15 min and quickly disappeared from me to hide away despite me waving a hand that they did not seem to notice or want to look. Without knowing the cost I could not buy them. I came back, sat on my car and ordered a collection from Argos right away, which was delivered the same day. This is not the Currys that I know. Usually they ask a million times if I need something whenever I am in store. Also I wonder if they 'profiled' me and decided I would not order?
It's so big and if you want heat in the cold just stand in the Tv area next to the 80 inch tvs. I love browsing here from. The cool computer chairs and desks to the home security systems. It's a bit of fun for the techies. I could look at the most nonsense setup that I'd never buy for ages before my wife would find me and say you'd never buy it. It's true but still if I had the option I'd like to think I would.
We purchased a product from Currys, well within our rights to change the product as it doesn’t fit in our kitchen. Only been 6 days of taking delivery and now wanting exchange for something more suitable. However they have have refused to exchange the product. Will contact customer complaint department/further to get this resolved. Very disappointed by the level of serivce.
Seemed a good store. It was quite a large store with plenty of variety. We just went in for a browse but staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
