One needs to be a bit of a history geek to really appreciate this park. The beautiful Crystal Palace burnt down in 1936. But its foundations are still here to be explored. The park itself has some lovely walks - including ponds around which true to life dinosaur statues can be spotted.
First time visiting Crystal Palace Park and it was a pleasant surprise. Came as two families with toddlers and love strolling up and down the hill, through the dinosaurs area, the petting zoo and the food market and playground. Also enjoyed the cool music at the bar by the lake, DJ was ace! Only thing I’d say is the installations could do with refreshing as they feel a bit dated Playground: Kids playground is big and allows for plenty of kids to have fun at the same time Dog-friendliness: Plenty of pups roaming around happily Picnic area: Lots of tables are set throughout the park
This park is the center piece of crystal Palace. It has many monuments inside sport centers, sphinxes, radio towers and swimming pools. E.T.C. so if your in the neighbourhood definitely stop by for a bit of nature in the big city.
Beautiful park I will definitely be coming back. Farm to view animals with the family, boats you can hire in the lake, loads of stone sculptures and beautiful scenery for a magical walk, a picnic, skate or ride around. Loads more for me to see in this park can't wait to come back.
Quite a variety of spaces available within one park - beach volleyball, walking paths, cafes, kids park, old palace remnants, restored subway station via rebooking, small zoo, dinosaurs, and more. There is quite a bit to see within its borders.
Very nice day out for the kids. Good walk around looking at the Dinosaurs and seeing all the birds. We did the little boat ride as well. The kids loved it and want to go again.
Just the sheer fact that these are Grade 1 listed is amazing. These concrete dinosaurs are as they thought they would look in 1800. I walked both ways and preferred the anticlockwise direction... Not sure if anyone else would care .
Went to see Damian Marley here for the Jamrock festival. Park seems to be in a bit of disrepair which is a shame as it looked liked it was once a lovely park. I didn't pass any public bathrooms either, unfortunately.
Welcome to the Eiffel Tower of South London! The site of the Great Exhibition is vast & elegent A great walk around the park, with its famous dinosaur statues + other animals A cafe near the sports centre, a playground for the children, is also dog friendly The Underground station is on site
Brilliant park! Massive, with plenty of spots for a quiet chill and Picnic on a sunny day Or if you fancy a munch you can visit the market we went on Sunday and sample some of the food stools. We had a couple of tasty dishes and also saw some cool RMC racing on a track there! Didn’t explore a quarter of the place so will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
