I came here with my two young children and we had a fabulous autumnal day out. The playground has it all: sand, water, rocks, trampoline, big adventure climbing, and smaller climbing and play equipment. They spent ages here - longer than at other playgrounds. We then enjoyed exploring the Japanese garden with all its gorgeous streams, trees and bridges. We'll be back soon!
Peckham Rye Park, located in the heart of South London, is a charming green space that caters to a variety of outdoor interests. With its expansive lawns, lush gardens, and diverse recreational facilities, it's a delightful destination for families, dog owners, fitness enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike. The park's formal gardens offer a burst of color and fragrance, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely walk or a peaceful picnic. For those seeking more active pursuits, Peckham Rye Park has a well-maintained playground that keeps children entertained for hours.Peckham Rye Park is well-connected, making it easily accessible by public transport or on foot. It serves as a green oasis in the bustling urban landscape, offering a refreshing escape from the city's hustle and bustle. This Park is a versatile and welcoming place that suits a range of outdoor activities and provides a relaxing environment for visitors of all ages. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to unwind or a lively spot for recreation, this park has something for everyone.
Good park well maintained, mind you it’s summer and beautiful flowers and everything looks beautiful. However felt safe and families and children were around and peaceful in the middle of the busy area
A huge open space for relaxing, walking or dog walks. There is a cafe as well with outside tables. And make sure you visit the sexby garden nearby. A haven of peace and quiet, take a book and a coffee and chill out.
Delightful park to visit throughout the seasons. You'll find two playgrounds, a separate adventure playground and hut to hire, a skateboard park and outdoor gym. There's also a duck pond, wooded area with dens, a dog-free picnic area and a lovely gated and Japanese garden. They've just reopened the boules areas which you can book and there's lots of open space for playing football and other games. There's plenty more to love about this place that I haven't listed... it's just the perfect local park for people of all ages to enjoy. Playground: One small playground towards the south newly installed equipment, tailored more for little ones 2-4 maybe? Another larger playground with high climbing rope areas and slides, swings, trampoline although quite often broken and a sandpit, good for smaller and older kids. Picnic area: Look for the arboretum which is a dog free zone and has a few picnic benches. Ideal spot for a picnic and to let the kids run around and climb trees.
Another one of South East Londons green space. Parks make a huge difference in a busy city. They give you an oasis calm, which allows you to recharge your batteries and find some peace. Spring and summer bring a beautiful dimension to South East London via this park. Great places to work out. running or walking, which is so important to your health. Summer or winter, greatest spaces that allow you to distance yourself from the confines of man made architecture.
Really good play area but not so much for really young ones. Cafe is great too but definitely not cheap.
Lovely park, explored it properly for the first time inside after only really passing by this park in the car. It has 2 lovely flower gardens and lots of mini wooden bridges and nature trails, and there is a mini canal running all through the park with small waterfalls in rocks, so was peaceful to listen to and watch, we really enjoyed being here.
I love this park for a casual visit. Enough space for picnics when there’s good weather, but several inner gardens to walk around. Lots of dogs walking around. Council could do a better job keeping the paths, but decent enough.
A lovely green space in the heart of Peckham Rye. Popular with the locals and a great meeting place for family and friends to hang out for the day. Dog friendly park but I not sure what the rules are regarding leads etc. There is a lovely cafe that serves food, soft and alcoholic beverages. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Toilets were reasonably clean. There were plenty of play areas for children to let off steam. I was lucky enough to be in the park when a South London Samba band played to the crowd. Great atmosphere and local community vibes had by all. Playground: Swings, slides the full shebang. Restrooms: Toilets inside the cafe. Dog-friendliness: Absolutely. Picnic area: Benches around the park and outside the cafe.
