Pay and Display car park adjacent to the canal. Toilets available in car park, grassy area with picnic tables next to the canal and cafe. Lovely area to picnic and admire the views or walk along the canal footpath. You can do a great circular walk along the canal, up to Black Rock then back down through Cromford. There are now regular boat trips on the canal. Cromford Mills and craft shops are just across the road.

Beautiful area. Pay and Display car park is not signposted well, I nearly walked away without paying and appreciated other's pointing it out. A great location - there's ample parking £4 for the day (I visited Feb 2018), a great cafe, the historic Mills are a 2 minute walk away and the village is a 5 minute walk. Very picturesque with the barge, swans and geese.

Has a pay and display car park with picnic tables there are public toilets, a good little cafe with outdoor under cover seating if you have a dog, good dog walking, and a cheese shop.

Nice place to stop for a cuppa and a toilet break if you don't fancy the bustle of matlock bath when you are out on your motorbike 👍
