Had spent the morning planting trees in memory of husband. It was a very cold day. The temperature was zero with about 2" of snow. As it was a Tuesday the Cottage didn't normally open until 3.00pm. I asked if I could have sandwiches and drinks @ 12.30 pm. Only a party of 10. Julie opened the pub up specially. Sandwiches and chips, hot drinks and log fires blazing. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Excellent.
Visited a few times while staying near by, very welcoming pub that was showing the 6 nations rugby. Really good real ales and guinessService: 5/5
What a welcome, and a great pint. I am rarely surprised in a pub but Landlady Timmy Taylors made me laugh. Keep it up, must visit.Service: 5/5
This is a nice campsite behind a nice friendly pub , The shower and toilet facility is a bit cramped could do with updating. you can walk into bidford, there you can get the bus into Stratford up on avon, will be visiting again soon
Great pub with camping. However the camping facilities let's it down as they aren't cleaned daily and are really dirty and should be only available to the campers Having said that, that is also down to the campers who don't consider other users, as for the washing machine, you wouldn't wash a dog blanket in it Perhaps a few signs reminding visitors to leave the facilities in the way they'd like to find them might help. I give the pub 5 stars because it's a great atmosphere and very welcoming but the camping facilities 0, sorry

Done 2 days here ..Must say its easy chilled and just what you will need for a camping experiance.River avon right next door.Staff are polite and easy going.No need to get ripped off with some of the other local sites that basically do the same...This will be a place we will be going back to...
Arguably the best pub in the local vicinity. Honestly cannot fault this place from its facilities to its service. Everything is just top notch. We actually had our wedding reception here quite sometime ago and Julia and the team could not have been more attentive to our needs. They were fantastic in every single way. This place really is a hidden gem for those that don't know. Always guaranteed the perfect pint and if you do decide on a bite to eat the food is brilliant too! An all round 10/10 whether it be for just a quick pint and a bite to eat or a weekend away in the caravan! Highly recommended!
A lovely countryside location which we all enjoyed but with awful facilities. There was no hand soap for the duration of our groups’ stay which is bad enough in usual times never mind post-covid. No paper hand towels or dryers either. The loo roll was frequently out with feedback from the owner to more than one camping guest that we were ‘using too much’. One roll at a time was given to cater for easily 100 guests that weekend. Once the pub was locked there was no chance of loo roll replacement and we went to buy our own. Facilities block consists of one loo and one shower for ladies and the same for gents. Hot taps not working in the wash-up area. Pub was only open for lunch service for most of the bank hols weekend. Could be absolutely lovely but needs a lot of love!
