Timing is everything; whilst this is a great coffee shop, with friendly staff, numerous drinks and cakes and savouries available. Be here during it's busy times and it's a nightmare of queues and chaos. Has outside seating and normally ample inside unless very busy such as market day (Thursday). Can be a great place to sit and watch the world go by especially in the summer.

Once upon a time it was a pleasure to pop in for a cuppa. It used to be one of my therapeutic experiences to escape a hectic life. Well, I timed myself today and it took nearly 12 minutes from the moment I joined the queue to the moment I was served or rather handed my coffee (spilled allover the saucer) The place is way over crowded, too noisy and chaotic. It seems to be like that almost all the time and everywhere! Whilst in the queue one begins to feel like a hobo waiting for a handout of charity. Altogether it has become very stressful and unpleasant experience - at least for me. It's a shame this type chains is taking our streets by storm and overshadowing traditional tea rooms where one could go and truly enjoy a nice warm cuppa served with care and love.
