I was renting a property under that agent. I had paid 6 months in advance to get in the apartment cause I had no credit score back then coming from a foreign country. When the 6 month period was coming to an end, and having not heard from them about continuation of the contract, I contacted them again and I said that I wished to extend my stay in the property. They claimed that I had to pay 6 months in advance again cause they didn't have time to do a credit check! While I had already been in the property for almost 6 months by then! I paid the 6 month period in advance again, despite them failing to mail me the proper bank details twice. 3 months before the new tenancy period ended my wife found another more suitable apartment. We gave them a month's notice in advance that we plan to move to a new property. They refused to return any of the advance payment that had been made, despite the fact that we were forced into paying in advance by their incompetence and despite that we vacated the property at least 1 month before the scheduled end of tenancy. So essentially that lead to a 2 month period overlap where I was paying for both properties. Generally a rather poor experience and although the landlord was a lovely guy, the agency itself really put me off engaging with them again under any circumstances, even if the property is really worth it.

I am a tenant in one of Core’s properties in the east end. My heating went down Christmas Day. Core had an engineer at the flat and restored everything by lunchtime. Meaning Christmas was saved. Thank you so much. I just wanted to sent a quick message to say that I really appreciated your friendly helpful can do service. I am happy to recommend. Ian.

Have just given my portfolio to Core Property. I have found their knowledge and understanding of the business essential. Very friendly and professional. I am happy to recommend. I was given Core as a referral from a business colleague that has had their property managed by the team for the last 8 years. I wish I had found them sooner ! M.A.

Stay well clear of this company. I let this company manage my property and it’s the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. Not only was my rent constantly late or short the woman that covered the accounts was so rude when I would constantly call to find out why. To make matters worse, when I went to do a repair in my property and asked the tenant if they were struggling with the rent, they told me they had paid 6 months upfront before moving in! The tenant also advised me of how unprofessional she found the owner when she had called several times regarding maintenance issues, which was then passed onto him. Safe to say I terminated the contract as soon this had come to light. After doing so I heard of many other landlords having the same problem with them. Strongly advise anyone thinking of using them - DON’T
