The new layout works well & the current exhibitions inspired. We spent a most enjoyable time at this year's opening - graced by eloquent speeches introducing us to the varied mammoth 2018 programme.

Brilliant new beginning to their season. The Folk Art displays are so immensely improved - a much needed boost for these intriguing items of yesteryear.

Fantastic place for a day or afternoon out. Good food and lots to do with children. Woodland play area was very popular. Only downside is the galleries have steps to help children 🚸 see inside cabinets the stewards are not particularly happy for children to use them. You can pick up activities for them to do and there are walks/trails around the beautiful grounds. Thoroughly recommend.

Great Quentin Blake exhibition....some fantastic drawings. If you're planning on going more than once with your family through the year then it's worth buying a silver or gold membership. Well worth a visit

Beautiful park lands and handsome manor house with galleries offers a truly relaxing time. Families with children will also appreciate the woodland adventure playground with log structures and zipwire. There is generous parking by the main entrance, where there are toilets and a small gift shop. From there a courtesy bus can assist visitors, but for the able-bodied, a gentle stroll through the grounds to the house affords wonderful views of the lake and parkland. In the house there are galleries of art works and throughout the year, different themed exhibitions are staged, as well as special events. The cafe and well-stocked gift shop in the house supplies a good range of snacks and light meals and the shop offers great shopping opportunities. For those nearby, it is worth buying an annual pass.
