College Lake

Perfect for bird watchers. A lot of interesting wildlife to see. Plus they have some interesting old machinery on show near the far end. A great walk around the lake.

Lovely well equipped visitor center complete with cafe. Eat and drink in comfortable surroundings whilst being treated to wide panoramic views. Many,many huts around the lake for viewing the plethora of bird and mammalian life.

Lovely old quarry turned nature reserve. The centre serves good food with a variety of things to buy. It's a large site, beautifully cared for with plenty to explore. They also put on events, so it's worth keeping an eye on their website.

The lake is a lovely walk, parking is a donation of your choice. The cafe has a nice selection of sandwiches and amazing freshly baked cakes. I recommend the gingerbread!

Really nice to walk all year round lots of great bird hides and a really good coffee shop. Interesting signs & information fun trail option for children
