Unprofessional improper Ophthalmology consultation. Underwent a self funding Ophthalmology consultation with Opthalmologist for my on going eye disease problems. Medication duly recommended to be changed from what another consultant had been previously prescribing on NHS. Regrettably the private prescription was incorrectly written. 2 independent chemists refused to dispense the prescription due to medicine dosages not disclosed on it. I contacted the consultant at Claremont who advised ME to amend the prescription. I was utterly astounded! Wrote to hospital director Andrew Davey to raise issue and he apportioned blame on a particular regime between Claremont Hospital and it's own pharmacy. Pathetic excuse. Will not be returning and seriously would not recommend Claremont Hospital to anybody.

A fantastic hospital! For me this was a very positive experience from start to finish. I saw the consultant of my choice within a week. The outpatients department was efficiently run. I had in patient surgery with Mr. Alan Gillespie 3 weeks after my initial consultation. He did an excellent job and was very professional, kind and reassuring at all times. A perfect gentleman. Dr. Joshi (anaesthetist) gave me the best anaesthetic I've had to date. The whole hospital was spotlessly clean and every one of the staff in all roles were efficient, friendly, kind and extremely helpful. I was treated like a V.I.P. throughout and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to choose Claremont if ever I need treatment in the future.

I was refered to Claremont Hospital as an NHS patient 4-weeks after seeing my consultant as this had the shortest waiting time for operations in the area. I had travelled by train to Sheffield station from which I took a taxi to the hospital. After booking in via by the nice lady on reception, a nurse escorted me to my private room (very nice) in preparation for operation. Once changed the consultant visited me and ran through what would happen before, during and after the operation. After 30 mins I was escorted to a pre-med room and only 20 mins after that, I woke up back in my room operation complete and pain free! I had to stay in overnight for observation but was treated like royalty by the staff the whole time. I couldn't fault it. Thank you to all staff at Claremont Hospital, Sheffield.

The worst private clinics, I had an appointment for surgery and when I came they did not accept my financial guarantee which I sent it to them a month ago and the accept it at that time
