Attended Thornbury hospital as an NHS outpatient and the care and staff provided were exceptional. I attended 2nd March for ankle surgery and felt so at ease and cared for. Discharged the same day and couldn’t have wished for a better hospital to have my surgery at.
I felt safe, constantly assisted, looked after and cared for. Everyone was so professional but at the same time courteous and friendly. I definetly entered theathre a lot calmer than other times. Plenty of staff, all amazing in their roles. My procedure, by a stroke of luck was funded by the NHS, so If anything, the experience was too good as now I can't think of having any procedure anywhere else that isnt Thornbury!nWhat an impressive hospital and staff, best in have ever experienced in my life.
The whole experience from first meeting my consultant at a venue close to my home, my spinal procedure that he carried out at Thornbury Hospital, Sheffield and the accompanying support of all the staff I met there -- whether they were receptionists, nursing, cleaning, or kitchen staff. It was tremendous all round. I met staff of all nationalities with a variety of skills and all were very caring, friendly, courteous, skilled in what they did, reassuring, and met their duties of care totally successfully and with immense pride. It made my stay very pleasant, comfortable and reassuring. Top marks to each and everyone involved! The hospital was a well maintained, spotlessly clean building and the room I occupied was spacious and comfortable. The only difficulty it presented was that, during the week, car parking spaces were insufficient to cope with demand. Weekend parking, however, was hassle free. It is obvious that car park expansion on the site would be extremely difficult, so I suggest it would be a good idea if nearby on-street/alternative sites could be publicised on your paperwork.nI can't thank you enough for the exemplary care and attention I received. It is down to all involved that I am really well on the way to a full recovery..
This is a beautiful private hospital on the outskirts of Sheffield and my family has used it in the past for various procedures and specialists. Easy to get to and lots of parking facilities. Managed to get a last minute appointment which was just what I needed. Worth the cost I would have had to wait 3 - 6 months otherwise. The staff and nurses were very professional and polite. The doctor I met with was first class and helped me with my specific needs for my diabetes.
This is the easiest 5 star rating i have ever given! My whole experience at Thornbury has been absolutely brilliant. The hospital is spotless and my room was newly refurbished with so much attention to detail. All the staff were truly wonderful and were so very very kind, caring and attentive. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. I felt totally safe and was not at all nervous as I knew I was in safe hands. The food and menu choices were superb as well as the supply of lovely cappuccinos and fresh ice cold water. All in all a totally wonderful experience, something you would never think having an operation in hospital would be. I can't thank you all enough!
