Living with CityRed for over a year has been an absolute pleasure. Their team is incredibly friendly and always eager to assist in any situation. I have been renting house since almost 2 years. There is always quick and efficient response to any issues, particularly right before the Easter holidays, i lost my house keys and office was closed due to holidays, immediately called Byron, who was very responsive to the issue, arranged for the locksmith to come and replace the lock. The whole matter was resolved in an hour and over the holidays is absolutely amazing service from Cityred!
DO NOT USE!!!! Zero stars - Would NEVER recommend. This rental company was an absolute disaster. Dealing with them was a nightmare from start to finish. The cleanliness of the flat was subpar, and the maintenance issues were never properly addressed. Dealing with them was a headache, and their lack of professionalism was shocking. To start, when I moved in with my partner, there was mould all over the bathroom and behind the sofa, the bed had collapsed on one side which was hidden by a pillow placed on top of the dent and the toilet flusher was broken. Attached photos below: It was a battle to say the least to get the toilet&the bed fixed meaning both were unusable for over 1 week. Most frustrating of all, the return of our deposit. We moved out and we got our deposit back 41 days later which yet again unsurprisingly was another battle. Endless emails and talking time off work to go down to the office to ask what was happening with our deposit just to be ignored and fobbed off left me to go through our tenancy agreement and look where our deposit is kept. No communication at all!! Our tenancy agreement stated “The Deposit is safeguarded by the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, which is administered by…” and then listed the details of who is “protecting” our deposit. I ring this number to be told they have no records of our deposit. UNBELIEVABLE but hardly surprising. Please, don’t waste your time with Cityred.
!!!AVOID!!! – Incredibly unprofessional and lazy service. Had a scheduled viewing this morning and contacted city red to inform them I was running late. I emailed 10 minutes before the original meeting time as well as calling but was sent through to an automated service informing me that their office was closed. Finally got through to them as I had arrived at the viewing site and was told that they had cancelled the viewing. They denied having received any email or missed calls from me. The agent I spoke to was completely inept and careless and did not apologise once. Quite glad the viewing was cancelled though as I have completely dodged a bullet; I can’t imagine what it would be like to be a tenant of theirs when they cannot even communicate correctly in order to conduct a simple viewing.
Helped us through a very stressful time. We come to CityRed Properties in desperate need of a 3 bedroom house ASAP. They looked after us amazingly, found us the most perfect property for our little family & we’ve already recommended to friends
!.Please I will like to let you know one of my cooker hob has stopped working 2. My work top table by the kitchen sink is shaking. 3. My kitchen carpet has been ripped off.
The place was good however the agency was very problematic. In the beginning I had to duplicate my own keys because they didn’t do it for me when they said they would. Curtains never got fixed until I left. I also had to chase my deposit and got it back after 4 months. I’ve exchanged a lot of emails with some of their staff some of them even lied and tried to blame it on the Landlord and when I informed the Landlord I was told She doesn’t know anything about it. I even went to their office for this as well. Imagine that. In the end, I ended up asking someone for help to call and chase my deposit for me. It was not a good experience for someone who is someone new to the UK.
Abduallah! Was amazing so helpful and super friendly and supportive! He helped me so so much! He was quick and finalise everything in two days! Highly recommended!
Service was not at all what i had hoped!. My property has come without a dryer and instead of helping me solve the problem they are getting defensive!
Please avoid this place. I moved in to a flat full of broken things doorhandles, washing machine, dirty carpets... they took forever to either fix them or simply didn't bother with them. Mid tenancy I asked for a new bed and was emailing the agent that I had signed the tenancy agreement with. Little did I know she was no longer working there and no one had taken the time to let me know. They are also incredibly bad at answering the phone and after having enough I went to their offices and found there was no one to be found during opening hours. I have also been asking for a receipt of all my payments since April and I am yet to receive it. There was a point I was asking weekly about the receipts and mattres. Finally, I had to chase them up in order to get my deposit back and had to mention the contract in order to do so in an email where I cc'd everyone in the company. Before I took this measure I tried to call the agency 11 times without a reply. Hasn't been the first time I have called so many times and no one replies Forget about the emergency contact. It is deactivated. My first week, my key stopped working and no one had bothered to tell me the code to get into my building. It was 11pm, no neighbour was home and I was locked outside. Emergency phone? Deactivated. The only reason I am giving this two stars is for Amy who used to work here. She was the only one that got things sorted. The rest of the hassle and frustration this agency has given throughout my tenancy hasn't been worth a penny of all that I have paid for a flat that was falling apart. Do not rent with them.
