Absolutely beautiful place to go for a walk on a sunny day! Parked up at a little free car park and made our way up the hill, seeing bluebells, butterflies, wild ponies and an adder on the way. We walked on top of some of the ancient iron age fortifications while admiring the view around and all the way out to the sea. At the top of the hill we stopped to climb some trees and sit in the shade - a great place to tell stories. All in all, spent about two hours up there. Just make sure you come dressed for the weather!

This is one of my favourite walking areas. Once at the top, you get gorgeous 360 degree views. The ring can be reached from trails on many sides with different gradients. This spring, April 2018, some wild horses from the New Forrest were roaming the hilltop. Apparently they had been relocated there which adds a fun element for kids. Not sure if they are permanent. The walk up is not hard, unless you come straight up the north side trail. It's absolutely magical on a foggy day, usually early morning when the fog hangs in the low lands on the north side and you rise above it. Enjoy!

A lovely place to visit. I went up here on a picnic which was very wholesome. The views are to die for, there's greenery in every direction and the air feels fresh to the throat. I really would recommend giving cissbury ring a thought about visiting, it really is worth it. There are even horses/ponies.

Great historic preservation built at the same time as Stone Henge. You can feel the history. Outstanding views of sussex.

A beautiful place to walk, which now includes Ponies that have been introduced to help conserve the area. Cissbury has some historical significance as well as it was an ancient Hill Fort. Also if you look hard enough to the north you can see chanctonbury. A nice update for 2018 is you can see the turbines in the sea. Lovely day out.
