Fenced in playground with a good selection of items for kids of varying ages to use. There also a few picnic benches free to use. Equipment looks well maintained. Unfortunately very muddy when went and can't avoid walking through it when moving around the different equipment. Parking on the road it free.
Good park with swings etc for kids. Mainly used by locals....not a place you'd visit unless you needed the toilet available in the Bowling ground. Playground: Large playground, often busy good area and good people. Restrooms: In the Bowling green area, other side of flint wall near Church are toilets. Dog-friendliness: Open green area larger than I could throw a ball, you might find a dozen other people and dogs here though. Picnic area: Plenty of benches here for seating, picnicking is definitely doable here....but it's not really a picnic area....it's a Park.
The children enjoy it and it has a combo sport porch. The toilets in the lawn bowls area often aren't open which can be difficult. Recommend popping down to the flowerpot bakery for a coffee and pastry while you're here, it's just down the road!
A large play field with a few benches, of which are falling apart. The play area has many broken items and some fenced off and looks poor, some swings and other bits the kids can play on. I still like going for a walk around here, seeing everyone walking the dogs, people playing basketball or football. Sometimes I work in the park whilst sitting on the bench, wish it was fixed. If only the park had some investment and it could be much better. I would've given 2½ stars but unfortunately not possible.
Good mix of play equipment from toddlers to bigger kids, although some are waiting for repair. Also has basket ball court. Lovely big green area popular for dog walking. Litter can be a problem sometimes.
Recently moved to the area and I love this little park. Fellow dog walkers are very friendly and it's very peaceful place to walk in the mornings. Children's play areas are well used and well maintained
Played football, basketball with my son very clean no dog mess and a park for the littlens
Peaceful park with nice play area. Some open sections where dogs can run out so only let your dog off the lead if they have very good recall.
Regular local park. Shame toilets knocked down years ago.
Good community space used by all age groups and plenty of dogs. The basketball court is a special favourite
