My sister and I had our first 3D experience here and it was breathe taking. Will love to go back anytime soon. Cinema is very clean and comfortable.
I do love this cinema. I will be gutted if Cineworld doesn't manage to survive their financial problems, as this is a good cinema and the closest to me with an IMAX screen and let's be honest it makes most movies better. It sits within the Resorts World shopping centre and is real easy to get to. Plenty of parking and parking is cheaper if you go to the cinema and get your parking ticket validated. I would recommend it for any of those cinema goers.
I’m not one to complain and as a matter of fact I love this cinema and it’s definitely my go to. So this is only reference our recent visit. Me and my husband came in on Friday around 11.30 to watch avatar. We got greeted by what I can only describe as a very rude dude. He did not give any eye contact and when my husband tried to strike a talk point about it being quiet he simply answered ‘nope’ in the rudest tone. My husband also asked if the film was 2D at 12pm to which he said ‘yep’. The receipt machine malfunctioned as ours were printing and my gosh his face was just so angry and aggressive. It was like everything was an effort. We came back half hour later to sit down for the film to notice it was 3D so we had to go back to get glasses which we had to pay for extra, and he didn’t think to mention it to us! Long and short of it, we will be back because as I said this is our go to but I’ve never know such rude staff member there. He actually made me feel very awkward personally.
We've been to the IMAX screen a few times now and it's brilliant. Staff are great and it's a cinema so it does what it says on the tin, fresh popcorn check, drinks bigger than your head check, pick and mix check but more veggie gelatine free options would be great, comfy seats check. Clean and not very busy which is probably bad for them but great for us. Thumbs up for everything and we'll probably be back again next week.
Very expensive for just average comfort. £14.99 for a blockbuster movie on a Sunday evening, ouch. Would be okay if they were big recliner seats but they're not unlike Showcase & Vue with their VIP/deluxe seats that are now standard. Just a bit basic for the cost. 4 staff on the hall entrance to check tickets, seems a bit wasteful. Discount parking is nice £1.50 for cinema customers. Next time we'll be going elsewhere, to Showcase on a Sunday evening at only £7.50 a ticket with nice big recliners.
This is a great cinema, with delicious and massive portions of popcorn and drinks. Great to share between a family. Comfortable seats Great sound and screen quality Always my local go to cinema
We went last week to watch Avatar 2, staff were rude and gave us hot dogs that were split in half? We watched the IMAX screen and i’ve never been so hot, we were all wet from sweat with barely any room to move as the seats are so close together. Do not understand why they could not put the air conditioning on, great film ruined by a terrible experience. Will not recommend and will not be returning. Not worth the money!! Hard to justify the prices
It’s such a dreadful experience, I would not recommend any of my friend to visit. We visited Cineworld Cinema in Resort World NEC on the 29th of January 2023, it’s our first visit, the parking indication is not clear, or I shall say no indication at all! We spent half hour to try to find the Cinema’s car park but can’t find any! Not clear on their web or in Google maps. As we were so late for our movie and we nearly lost our mood to watch the movie, we ended in parking in the car just outside of the Cinema’s building as anyone with common sense will assume it’s the parking. And we were told we can get our parking fee back by the staff, but after contact both the customer service from Cineworld and Resort World, we cannot get any of this expensive parking back! It’s almost as expensive as the cinema ticket. DO NOT drive such long distance to ‘enjoy’ this dreadful experience unless you are really familiar with the parking!
Great experience, took my Mrs & her mom too see Avatar the way of water, friendly staff, comfy chairs & plenty of leg room, only let down1st time here was not enough signage in the car park to direct us to the cinema & took a long way round, not knowing of a shorter route
One of the best cinemas in the West Midlands if you visit the IMAX. The big screen picture is so much better and the sound is amazing!!! It can get busy in the evening but generally not too busy during the daytime because of the location and the decor of the cinema is modern and fresh and its always nice and clean there. It a pleasure to visit everytime.
