I have been saved more times than a bad sitcom at Northern General, to the point where some of the staff recognised me the last time I was rushed in! ‍‍ The cardiologist that have treated me in the past & saved my life are awesome! The nurses working within the NHS deserve a decent pay rise for their dedication to helping people recover from their illness whatever it may be. I don't stay for the food, yeukky! I stay to get better & entertain the staff! Lol!
Superb service if somewhat stretched at times, staff are friendly, competent and approachable, and facilities are increasingly being modernised and upgraded. The only bug is parking space, nowhere near as bad as the Hallamshire, it can still present a problem for those in ill health and their carers, not to mention ancillary staffs access on a daily basis.
I'm here for surgery. Hospital is clean and as per usual the staff are fantastic. Just a shame a percentage of the patience aren't of the same demeanor. One thing that aggregates me more than anything is the hospital not adhereing to it's no smoking policy. This goes for all the hospitals I have visited. Best thing is to set aside an area for patience to smoke away from the main entrances so others can actually enjoy a breath of fresh air if they are able.

Absolutely superb wing we all take the NHS for granted & it's not until you need the NHS that you realise what a superb job they do under difficult circumstances thankyou Chesterman Wing
Excellent staff and fantastic hospital who recently looked after my wife. I have one complaint and that is parking. I came to visit and it took me over an hour to find a parking spot.
