I went with my Nephew today to buy his second car. From beginning to end brilliant advice and service. Ford went that extra mile even going online to help my nephew sort out road tax before taking the car. I highly recommend this garage.

We purchased a car for each of my daughters recently. Dealing with Ford and his sons feels like how business used to be transacted years ago. No high pressure sales, honesty throughout, in summary a very straightforward process. Both cars were low mileage and clean throughout. We found a very minor problem with each sticky accelerator and a radio code issue and both were sorted with no fuss or drama. I’ve bought a number of vehicles from Chequers now and they would always be my first port of call - personally I can’t put a price on feeling comfortable and knowing if there is an issue it will be sorted. Thanks to all at Chequers!

Just bought a VW Golf from here.  What a great service from start to finish.  Ford and his son run a classic family business where nothing is too much for them.  I highly recommend them for any future sales anyone requires

My partner and I arrived at Chequers Motor company to look at a Vauxhall Mokka. When we arrived we saw the car instantly looking excellent. We surveyed the area and noticed an office and what we later found out to be a place where services etc were conducted on cars. After a few minutes looking at the car we headed over to the office to meet the owner of this fabulous place, Ford. Ford is one of a rare breed of owners of a car sales place that is so easy going it really has to be seen to be believed. He is so friendly and basically nothing like any car salesperson we have ever met. He was so welcoming. He then asked which car we were interested in and he walked out with us, handed us the key and said take your time. If you have any questions I am in the office. Ford has a brilliant way about him, he told us he has run the business for 47 years... an amazing feat. The car was exactly what we wanted and after 15 mins we went back into the office to seal the deal. Half hour later we were still talking to him. So down to earth and easy going. We had a couple of questions which he answered then when there was one he didn't know he called in one of his sons who works in the garage alongside who was also very helpful .A few minutes later we shook on the deal for the car. He promised us an MOT and service before we collected and also a valet of the car. We know it did not really need one but that's Ford for you. The ultimate person who is proud of his business and proud of what he has achieved. He even had time to introduce us to his wife. Such a lovely family . We have now had the car for a couple of weeks and it's going perfectly. Would highly recommend Ford and his Chequers Motor Company. Very rare to say this but an absolute Credit to his trade 5 stars

Just brought a car of the owner  Ford ironically I brought a Ford. Great service would highly recommend. Lovely clean motor drives well and had a big boot just what I needed with two kids.
