Are people being serious about this park? I live on Elizabeth Street so I see what happens in it every day and I wouldn't let my dog in there never mind the kids. Broken glass, used condoms, needles and scum selling drugs. The bandstands are falling apart and have been left to rot. The park does not reflect the people who live in this area but feels like the council are more interested in spending money on the centre for visitors rather than the people who live and work in the city. Only one good thing is, it's a nice green spot in the middle of a concrete jungle. The council need to put locks on gates after a time and light the place up because it isn't right what it's being used for, then unknowingly parents take their kids in to play.

Cheetam Park is a large park in the area Cheetam Hill. It is located approximately 6 minutes away from Manchester Fort; this is good because after a day of shopping you could take children here to have fun. There is a large slide from the top of the hill, a thing for people to sit on that spins around, rocks to clime up and swings.

Decent park near Manchester Fort. Few bits for the kids but overall just another public park. Clean but you come across broken glass and other waste.
