I've visited this gem of a hotel several times. Every time I've always been impressed with the professionalism and the attention to detail shown by both the owners and staff. The hotel itself and it's location are rather quaint with a village feel about it. However, it's only a 10 minute walk to the town center. The dining room and the food offered is excellent and ideal as a wedding venue. It was so nice to view a wedding cake nestled in a nook rather than some dance floor. I also had the pleasure to use one of their spacious private dining rooms. Cake picture belongs to Jeannettes Great Cakes

Had our wedding reception here which was just perfect. Good size function room with bar all in one room. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Rooms were excellent old fashioned Style rooms which is perfect for the area

Christmas meal with friends in one of the hotel's private dining rooms. Quality of the food and service has declined since we were last here 5 years ago.

Looks quite nice from outside and quite nice if a little worn inside but very disappointed with room. Was freezing when arrived. Heating turned off late evening so again freezing room all night. Kettle in room but only 1 cup. Do they expect you to share. Would not return.
