I have stayed here a couple of times. The train noise doesn't worry me at all but inconsiderate guests that think it's acceptable to bonk all night good on them but the woman resembled a howling wolf not funny at 3am. I wasnt the only one but several times another guest told her to shut the hell up. Upon checking out reception asked how my stay was I explained the problem. I presume others had also complained. Hotel room clean and tidy no issues with hotel cheap and easy for my commute to work.
I got to the hotel late at night, if you were viewing the hotel entrance from ground level you won't see it as it looks like an entrance to an apartment block. The sign is high up obscured by the glass awning. On arriving to reception I was greeted by a friendly clerk, he checked me in and gave me a door key. I got to the door and tried the key to open the door on several attempts it failed so I had to trek back down. I spoke to the clerk and told him what had happened, he took the key and left me at reception. He came back down a few minutes later and said the door or the lock mechanism was jammed that why it wouldn't open. He then gave me the original room he had written down for me and apologised for the inconvenience. The room was clean couldn't fault it. I stayed for two nights, my second night wasn't so pleasant. I was woken up three minutes before midnight, to a loud bang and shouting on the same floor. There was an argument in one of the rooms, profanity and furniture being thrown across the room, people leaving the room with loud bangs when shutting or slamming the door, this lasted 20-25 minutes. I didn't dare exit my room to check, one is my room was the last room on the corridor if the altercation was to spill into the corridor I would of been trapped. If I had to get to the stairs or lift I had to walk all the way round to get to the exiting points. Two, the person that was shouting was very aggressive and did not wish to put myself in harms way or in a worser position. In the morning when I checked out I spoke to the morning clerk about the incident and the first she said was why didn't you come down about the complaint, I had no number to call the reception, there are no phones in the room and there was certainly no numbers for information in the room if I had problems. The only number is at reception that I had seen. Then to be told off like a child for not reporting it at the time, they could of evicted the guest that was staying but they couldn't do anything as it was too late now unless any other guest complains about the same incident, I was very annoyed. First of all the clerk wasn't thinking about the safety of the guest at all, especially a female guest in the middle of the night. Rooms: Tidy and clean. Nice clean room and corridors etc, staff welcoming and pleasant. Only 4stars as outside was a bit noisy but I would definitely use again if needed.Hotel highlightsGreat value
Good location in Epsom. Right next to the train station. This might worry you about noise especially in the morning but it was not noisy enough to wake me. The reception is on the first floor and you can take one of two lifts up to it. There was no one on the desk so you use the phone provided to contact a worker to come down and check you in. The room was the usual Travelodge experience. Nothing fancy but everything you need and a nice, comfy bed
Avoid at all costs. They don't service or clean the rooms no matter how long your there. Disgusting manament in the form of the troll Mimi. What a nasty piece of work. The group need to investigate her work. Food & drinks: No drinks or food available only rip off vending machine in reception.
It's ok. Would only stay here because my sister lives right next door but even the single beds are like smaller then singles. Not comfortable. Not great service either but it's cheap and does ok for one night Walkability: Train station a few door away
Rooms are clean, but if you live longer time they don't clean the room every day. Nobody asked, "Nothing. ".. No fridge in the room, ironing possibility, I haven't seen a bar or breakfast room.Rooms: 3/5
Everything has been amazing, very kind, helpful, nice staff. Great clean room, anything you need just ask reception. Location is perfect for everything, especially if your looking to explore Epsom and go else where. Train station, next door. Had a great time, thank you. I would totally stay away, don't really want to leave. Also very comftable bed. Got a budget hotel it's 5 stars from me. Thank you for a great stay, especially Jo has been amazing!
The hotel has a wonderful position, a step away from the train station and the center. I found a very clean room on the 5th floor occupied by a wonderful girl named ALINA and with exactly everything you need for a pleasant stay. Thanks and I'll be back soon. Food & drinks: Nandos
Thumbs up Great location, comfortable, clean and quiet. The super room, although not very big was well-equipped, the bed was comfy and the shower was good, The receptionist Akash kindly let us check in and was smooth They had a wonderful team and will be back again.
