Positive+: friendly manager, breakfast satisfactory. Negative-: many flights of stairs with no lift and no-one to insist on carrying your bags. Ceiling in bedroom too low, causing you to bang your head!! In the middle of nowhere!

· Absolutely horrendous customer service. My husband enquirer about a possible booking (he thought it was strange he had to enter card details about an enquiry. We did not hear anything back from them, no confirmation, no call or email. And then we were charged £100 for the room! When calling to ask why we had been charged and could they possibly refund, the couple that own the hotel were extremely unhelpful, and quite frankly unkind. Had no interest at all in refunding us, or trying to resolve the issue. Extremely unimpressed. We have stayed in many hotels and B and B's before, and never received customer service like this. Avoid this place! We will be seeking legal advice.
